Second visit update: I’m still going to come here, but wasn’t super happy with the way my last visit was handled.
I dropped off the car and biked my two kids to a play cafe down the road to wait for an oil change. In the two hours I waited, they weren’t able to get my car out of the parking spot and into the garage because they couldn’t release the parking brake…??♂️??♂️
In their defense they were super busy that day, but my kids were rapidly approaching nap time so I had to go home without getting any much needed work done on the car.
First visit: Angela was so friendly and the service was quick and fairly priced!
They came in at 1/3 the quote I got from another shop and the car feels great!

I have an older car my kids drive that I have taken to Ed & Dave's several times for repair. They've always have been a little pricey for their service but I had confidence they were doing good work. The last time I had that car there, someone "inspected" it while on the lift. I was told there was a broken spring that needed to be replaced ASAP and that the strut could fail with the next pothole. I was verbally quoted $1200 plus for the front stuts. I took to a different place and for less than $800 I was given the old struts back to find nothing broken. I can accept they charge what people are willing to pay, but I can't accept being lied to.

I'm very pleased with this shop. Chris was personable knowledgeable and did not try to sell me on parts that do need to be replaced. 100% satisfied!

Ed and Dave's keeps me well informed. I appreciate the quotes coming in email, so I can see everything they are doing and the price break down. They are quick at getting my car back, and are very patient when I can't answer their phones calls. I hate when companies blow my phone up all day during working hours. They called me once and from there I could call them back at my convenience. Very easy to work with.

I took my car in and it was very quick and good service, business good worker good and owner very handsome, it felt very welcoming and wonderful. I love this auto shop and they got my car turned ship shape, one of the workers even left a note in the car saying he really liked my car. Great service definitely would come back again :)

I used to go to Ed and Dave back in the 1995, and my dad‘s been going to them way before me way before 1995. He always recommended I go there with my vehicle and I did in the past well now I’m back up here in Michigan, I’d like to bring my other car in to have them service it as well. They always do tremendous work and I’m still sure they hold that title..
I recommend anybody to go to them they do outstanding work…

Oh, the dreaded check engine light! While they may be pricey, who isn't? The service is excellent but for the amount of money we've dropped into vehicles, I'm not asking for them to name their boat after me, but maybe an ashtray or a toilet paper dispenser?

Long story; Brought my car in for an inspection in hopes to fix my cars issue with the wheel shaking/ car shaking upon hitting bumps. Got a full inspection and was quoted over $6k for multiple things (that seemed more like preventative maintenance), but was told that sway bar links and bushings would be the way to help solve the shaking issue. $370 later and I picked it up after school/ work to find that it still shakes and feels no different. I called and they were very polite and told me to come in for a tech to inspect. The tech finds that I actually need new struts which would be over $2k. I left feeling frustrated that I got quoted for thousands of dollars in work just to have the main issue be missed. I understand that sometimes the first solution doesn’t work, but as a college student I don’t have the money to problem solve and have my car in the shop for weeks at a time. I asked Angie (?) what the best solution would be as my car was not fixed besides a clunking noise going away when entering my car. Angie at the front desk suggested I bring the old sway bar links/ bushings to whoever did it just a year prior. I don’t think that was very helpful or helped solve any of my issues lol. Super disappointed because my family has been coming here for over 20+ years and everyone else has great things to say! I am now left to bring my car to another shop to get a second opinion and try to get my car fixed.

My towing vehicle developed an issue a day before I was going to drive to northern Ontario to go fishing. They got me in, assessed the issue, and replaced the right wheel bearing (I think, I was in such a hurry I didn't even check what the issue was), and they were able to get it done before I left the next day. It was a trip-saver and it looks like they got the job done right (I'm a couple hundred miles into the drive).
