Spent over an hour waiting at our appointment, really disappointed with how slow everything is, on top of the price. Be prepared for a nearly two hour appointment with 20 minutes of face time. Over $750 for a standard checkup for a healthy 4 year old dog

Originally found this vet because I was in need of major emergency dental/jaw surgery done on my cat ( there are not many vets in Michigan that really know how to handle this). They are now our chosen vet for all our fur babies. We have been with them for a few years now. A bit of a drive, but well worth the care that they give.

Overall a really clean and pleasant office. Our 8 year old German Shepherd has been treated very well here for the 7 years we've live in Grand Rapids. However, due to recent experiences we will be taking our business elsewhere. The staff seems to constantly be changing, the pricing is insane (true Eastown style) and they guilt you for not wanting to do follow up visits and spend more $ even if your pup is doing significantly better. We are done with the guilt and the rudeness.

Took great care of our dog while taking fixing his broken tooth and did a great job on cleaning his teeth.

At first I liked this office... The reception you get coming in is great. And nice treats for the animals as well. But they did a skin scrape on my dogs tail to check for mites when I already told them what was going on. Stud tail. I know he has this problem and had previously had it treated at Red Barn. (Just wanted to find a vet I could make appointments for as you can not at the other place) He did not have mites and I already knew that from a previous vet visit. They scraped his tail so bad that the hair is still not growing back in the scar months and months later. My dog is a bit nervous going to the vet and I told them that he has piddled at the vets before and apologized just in case it happened there. Well it did happened... Now they won't see him unless I medicate him first. Brought our older dog in and that was fine as it was a normal check up. But after being extremely overcharged none of our animals will go back! For 2 dogs with nothing really done other than a skin scrape and a few vaccines was almost $900 for their visits!

I might've already posted a review because I've been taking my dog here for years but I felt compelled to leave another one. I live decently far away from this place and pass 4-5 other vets on the way. I refuse to go anywhere else because every time my dog needs something done, I come in at the low end (sometimes even lower) than the cost I was quoted, every single tech and Dr. have nothing if not me and my dog's best interests at heart, and always squeeze me into appointments that fit with my life. Their communication is awesome, the wait is never too long, and they're so friendly. I'm not good with names so I can't name specific people, but every single person has been so helpful and friendly that I refuse to consider other vets, even ones that are closer and are open on weekends or nights. I can't understate how much I love this place compared to previous vet offices.

I took my pitbull mix in because she was having tooth pain, and her vet assessed one of her lower canines needed to be extracted. I was referred to Eastown because the vet dental specialists I tried to get her in to see were booked up for months! One of those facilities referred me to Eastown, whose very own Dr. Happel has extensive experience with vet dentistry. They were able to get my dog in right away for a consult, and she had her procedure just a few days later. I was impressed with the care my dog received, as well as the courtesy and professionalism from the staff.

I was 10 minutes late for the last dog appointment of the day. No one rushed my dog's care at all, everyone was friendly and informative Dr. Happels vet clinic is best in the grand rapids

Great experience! We got in due to a cancellation and I am so thankful! Everyone was incredibly thoughtful and knowledgeable. My 13 year old cat came in with pain and we left with an amazing treatment plan- here is my cat not a week after she had been yelping in pain. So glad to have them as our new vet.

We brought our 12 year old cat in after she had been yelping in pain. Luckily we got in when they had a cancellation. Everyone there was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I am so thankful we chose Easttown. Here is a video of her just a week after the treatments ordered by the Veteranarian. Great team, very clean space with completely separate areas of the building for cats and dogs.

Great first experience with them with my cat! He was upset of course but they were very gentle with him, and they were all very friendly, professional and knowledgeable about his care.

Eastown Vet is perfect for my vet-anxious dog! They recognize her anxiety right away and were open to changing the experience to better fit her needs. They offer a desensitization appt series where they try to build positive experiences with the office and staff through treats and freedom which is helping immensely. They are also very knowledgeable and take the time to address all of our concerns.
