Worst experience ever...I go here all the time and never had anything like this happen. All I had was a hundred dallor bill from Walmart. Cashier here takes bill and says it's fake, so no to my purchase. She keeps bill and won't call authorities so I can figure out what to do next. I needed that money for diapers and meds! Store was closing so I had to leave. Next day I follow up and call the store to see what's next. Same cashier answers and is very rude. I speak with manager who is also rude and says the bill was sent to bank and there is nothing I can do. I ask for owners number and the district managers number, and they said no and hung up on me. I cannot afford to just be out this 100 and its crazy that they basically just took it, and are not doing anything to help. I guarantee it went into someone's pocket or bank. So beyond passed and cannot believe...

This store was going through a remodel and the staff did a wonderful job handling all of the shoppers in their store. Shout out to J the manager and Kat (as well as many other employees) for being so patient and professional in the time of customers rushing around their store and also dealing with all the other rude customers that were giving them a hard time for no reason. You ladies rock!

It's dollar general.I would like to share that years ago I had left my wallet at the register on a visit there for about a week not knowing what had happened and upon returning had it returned to me cash untouched. Really didn't expect that and very much appreciated. Before you judge by the location realize this store is here to serve this community there's plenty to pick from if it's not in the right neighborhood for you.

The staff is friendly and will always find the time to help you find the item you are looking for. More than once I have gone in to this particular store frustrated and left with a smile simply due to how the staff treats their customers. I am very thankful to have this store and their staff be available to our neighborhood. They are an asset to us.

It'd be SO NICE to be able to vote a negative on the stars for this Dollar General location at Hall & Madison. It's TRULY "ghetto not so fabulous". The place has its very own aroma of candy and body odor and cheap cologne. They open and close whenever they please, nevermind the posted hours. Shelves are half stocked at best, employees are rude and there's always some type of rap music being blared on their portable stereo. It's worth the drive to the other DG 8miles away for sure.
