I stayed here two weeks in a row for business. Nice hotel in a good location, but each time there was hair on the vanity and once on the wall.

Been there several times and it's always a first class experience. Staff provides A++ customer service. Rooms are big and clean. Our room didn't have mini frige or microwave which would be a nice addition. Some room views are beautiful and some not. Rooms with view of river are nice to have

I'm only giving 4 stars because of a few things. 1. The ice maker on our floor was broken 2. we asked the maid to not make our beds but she did anyways 3. The Sunday maid knocked on our door at 9:15 housekeeping, I'm like, yes we will be outta here by 11 which is the checkout time. 4. It was very noisy, which isn't the hotels fault, it was the traffic outside

The room was spacious. The service was wonderful. Lots of character in the rooms and through the old hotel which is cool. Great location. Easy walk to many restaurants and activities. But it's definitely not the cleanest place we have stayed. I swear I'm not snobby and don't look for dirt but it was obvious. There was dirt and hair in the corners on the bathroom floor. Black yuck on the bathroom counter and in the shower. A random hair stuck to the picture in the bathroom. Dust on the molding in the bathroom, on the baseboards, and on the lamps. We still enjoyed our stay but it's good to have your expectations in the right place.

We stayed two nights in a Tower room. The room was spacious, clean and quiet, and unlike some reviews, the bathroom had generous counter space and a very nice shower, but some of the amenities, like the door to the bathroom, fridge and AC didn’t work well and there weren’t enough outlets and no USB connections Service was very good - bell captain, valets, front desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful and Andrea checked in by text several times to see if everything was going well and quickly assisted with a small problem. The historic portion of the hotel is beautiful and the location is great - we were able to walk to restaurants.

Classy without the snooty attitude you often find at 5 star hotels

The rooms were expensive and somewhat rundown but very clean, and for me that is what is most important.

Really nice Hilton property in downtown Grand Rapids. Close to everything downtown, and also has several very nice bars and restaurants, including a Ruth's Chris steakhouse. We stayed in the 24th floor of the tower, which had incredible views of the Grand River and the downtown area.

Beautiful hotel. Did not stay today...visiting lounges for cocktails! Have stayed in the past and it's exceptional!

A high quality hotel with a historic hotel within. Great Ballrooms.
Noteworthy details: You have to look to see the old hotel, but the ballrooms are great, very Americana.

I was at this hotel for a conference. I was there for 7 days so I got to experience a lot of the hotel. Hilton does know what it's doing. Or at least the employees know what they're doing. I had a room in the older part of the hotel. It was still very clean and spotless and very comfortable. Pulling in the entrance way at arrival was an excellent experience. A person they are explained to me about luggage, valet parking, and registration. I decided to use the bill service which was a great idea! They took care of all of my luggage, and I had a bunch of it, and had it ready for me when I got back from parking the car. Valet parking at the time was about $45 a day. It is much cheaper to self park. The parking garage is basically across the street so it's not a great distance away. Everyone at the hotel was amazingly friendly and helpful. There are a few eateries in the hotel but it's also close by several others within easy walking distance. There's a nice skywalk that connects to the convention center. There were several meeting rooms that we used at the conference and all were well done and comfortable. The beds were nice and so were the pillows. Our room had a micro refrigerator and a small safe.
