This is a difficult review to write. As frequent travelers, we had never used a travel agent before and thought we would turn to a travel agent, Lou Lint, “Italy Expert”, to help us plan our trip to make it easier on us. We regretted that decision many times.
A few positives to share about Lou: We loved the cooking class that she recommended and most of the accommodations that she recommended were fantastic.
Unfortunately, we were faced with multiple recurring issues related to communication, attention to detail and general logistics.
Communication: I don’t know where to begin on communication because there were so many issues. Examples include: 1) Emails were challenging to decipher and unclear if she needed anything from us; 2) We requested Lou to reply all, so that we both could see what she was routing our way and ensure more timely responses. She was unable to and we made this request no less than 12 times; 3) Lou would start multiple new email chains addressing random topics making it hard to follow; 4) We needed to repeat our decisions/preferences multiple times; 5) 10 days before we left, Lou shared that she was “extremely concerned” about our travel between two cities, which was the first that we learned there was any issue. Unfortunately, the list could go on.
In regards to attention to detail and general logistics, we ran into a number of challenges, which all took place during our travel. For most of our hotel bookings, she included her own contact information as the primary rather than ours. So when multiple hotels had issues with our bookings, they reached out to Lou, who then forwarded the email to us (hours later due to the time difference), leaving us scrambling to fix the issue. Several hotels had the wrong name and/or contact information for us, which made checking in challenging. Finally, we did not realize that Lou booked us in an AirBnB that required us to contact them at least 24 hrs in advance to be able to check in. We learned this upon arrival and when we attempted to contact the host, the contact information Lou provided was incorrect and we later learned that the contact information that the host had for us was also incorrect.
Overall our experience working with Lou Lint can be described as poor at best. We hoped working with a travel agent would ensure a smooth and stress free vacation, but unfortunately, it only created more headaches than we have ever had on a vacation. Under no circumstances will we work with Breton Travel again, and I would highly advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere.

I’ve worked with Breton Travel, Lou Lint several times and it’s been a struggle from a communication standpoint. But recently I have been working with Lou to create travel plans to Greece and to my ultimate disappointment, her communication was the worst ever. She did not listen to my requests, and went ahead booked flights and hotels when I explicitly said to hold off until the pricing and itinerary was completed. My husband and I met with her for 3 hours and put together a strong itinerary. Her next email to me had the itinerary completely wrong, with hotel recommendations ignored, and weeks of no work being done. She ignored my requests, would go weeks upon weeks without ever doing anything on my plan and then send something that I had already indicated I didn’t want. Unfortunately my 3 months of planning now has to be started all over. I need a reliable travel agency, this one and Lou Lint in particular is not it.

Jennifer Conway planned every detail perfectly for our all inclusive trip for 80 high school seniors and their parents. We just showed up and everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend using Jennifer and Breton travel!

Jennifer from Breton Travel was extremely accommodating and helpful in booking a senior trip of over 100 families. She was flexible in providing multiple booking options from various airports, length of stay, and opportunities for upgrades to meet the various needs of families to be as inclusive as possible. She was also available for any and all questions in and outside of her work hours. Would highly recommend!

Breton travel is amazing to work with, especially Jennifer Conway. I had never bee on an all inclusive trip and she made our experience easy, affordable, and memorable. We booked with Jen for my sons senior spring break. This was at the tail end of Covid and traveling was a little stressful. Not with Conway! My daughter will be a senior this year and we will be booking with her and Breton Travel again. Can’t wait!

We had a fantastic experience working with Jennifer. She planned a beautiful trip for us. She took care of every detail from private drivers from the airport to our resort down to specific services and upgrades at our resort. We didn't have to worry about a thing and were able to just enjoy our vacation. We will definitely go to her to plan our next big vacation.
