I was taking my grandma to get coffee inside and she started having a coughing fit. So I was going to get her some water from the counter but there was only one worker and he was super busy (I have been a barista and sympathize with being overloaded with a lot of tasks at once). So keep in mind I was first in the line but no one was at the register and it appeared to be that no one was gonna be at this register for awhile. But I saw another Barnes and noble employee just chilling by where the drinks come out and she was talking amongst some people so a part of me thought she might work for the cafe. So I asked very if she could get me some water and she looked at me like I was the stupidest person on this planet. She then asks why I would be asking her that. So now I’m confused and ask her if she works there (I was going to feel so bad if she didn’t). She said she did but she clearly didn’t work at the cafe despite having a name tag and being at the cafe. She then proceeded to be snotty and told me that’s what the line was for. I also work in service but I work in food service. If you are front of house whether it is in retail or food it is your job to be polite and helpful to your patrons. I promise you I’m aware of how lines work. I was just trying to find a quick way to make sure my grandmother wasn’t about to have a coughing fit that resulted in her falling. If I hadn’t been so worried about that I probably would have had some words with this girl. All you needed to do was politely say, “Oh no, I do work here but just not at the cafe. I’m sure he can help you behind the counter whenever he gets a minute.” That was literally it. She then proceeded to get a water from the cafe and give me a weird look before walking away. Anyways, I don’t know what Logan’s problem is or why she’s in customer service if she doesn’t know how to be a decent human being. I get we all have our moments and days (as I also work in customer service). We as professionals just have our moments not in front of customers. I’m leaving two stars because at the manager said they’d talk to her. I just wanted to let her know that my grandmother means the absolute world to me and to know this how she could be treated when I’m not around is appalling.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. App works great for navigating the store. Books! Get them while you still can, unabridged, unedited, unburned.

I always enjoy visiting this Barnes and Noble. It can definitely get busy being that it’s more or less an entrance to the mall. The cashier was very kind over the weekend and got a rewards account set up for me. The store is well-organized. They have something for everyone with all the options they offer. It’s a huge store, could easily spend a couple hours (and a lot of money, LOL) here!!

A nice big store with an upstairs for kids and their books. A huge music section. The first floor has mainly items for adults. The store has an entrance from the parking lot as well as from the mall. Only drawback is Cheesecake Factory is right next door and parking was packed on the Saturday afternoon when I visited. I did eventually find a spot, when someone pulled out after driving around the lot several times.
