We asked for the picture on the right, but what we got I didn’t even get a picture of because my daughter braided and dipped her hair as soon as we got home trying to make her hair look better. We traveled 45 minutes to get to Julia’s shop. Julia was 27 minutes late arriving , after being called by another Braider to see if she was coming. Julie was lazy and money hungry . Her question after arriving late was “how you paying”?She started off braiding my daughter hair correctly ,(I showed/sent her 3 pictures of , step by step how to achieve the look)and then she started making the parts and braids bigger. You see the picture, showing how far the braids are braided down ? Well as you see my daughter’s braids are not like that.She basically has loose braiding hair hanging….we wanted braids.Her attitude , communication , an comprehension was horrible. I was flabbergasted about a couple of young men, that came in and got their hair played in by amateurs that were learning. But were being charged top dollar. One guy hair ,looked like the life had been sucked out of it. Looked better before they touched it . I was pissed for him, as they gave him excuses. I think that was her daughter who had done his hair. This clearly is a business that doesn’t appreciate people or their own business as well. I would never , ever recommend this place. My daughter wanted her hair braided , so she settled. I’m teaching her that we are not doing that. Their are braiders who take pride in their work, and we will stick with them. BEWARE!!!

I wasn’t sure about him getting dreads but Julia hair braiding salon got my son together she was very nice and I’m happy we picked her ❤️ can’t wait to get my other kids in her chair ? THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN ???? helped my son with a tux too ? love this women already and just met her today

My Appointment was Friday , Julia an her daughters an nieces were all so lovely , they were so sweet & I love how they all help each other out , I was so comfortable , had a good time , laughed , loved it , great experience I got Medium boho waist length & will definitely be back !!

When I initially went here to get my son’s hair braided, Julie was extremely nice to me. So much so that I booked an appointment with her to get box braids before my Thailand trip. On the day of my appointment I arrive at the shop after calling Julia at least 20 times with no answer, and learn that she is in Africa! My appointment was booked months in advance, but no one bothered to call me to let me know Julia was in Africa! I’m flexible, so I agree to let one of her stylist do my hair. Worst decision ever! They were so ghetto, and one stylist had the nerve to argue with me when I tried to simply discuss my concern. Also, Julia informed me at the time of booking that she would supply hair for free, I informed her stylist of that fact, and she failed to accommodate me. Even after the foregoing inconveniences. I cannot do business like that. Needless to say, I never want to be in an environment like that again. Crazy part is, I believe that if Julia would have been present, my experience would have been different. I will never find out!

I found Julia’s sisterlock retightening service to be fast and efficient. I have a full head of long locks and was finished in under three hours. Julia and her crew are also really nice people :).

I live in Muskegon, I called Friday to get an appointment, I was told yes, they gave me 8am. They called me back at work, I missed the call, when I called them back,, they would not answer, so I left a message with all my info.My fault, I guess, I drove to Grand Rapids this morning and they were not open. I had to call around but I found another ship. Thank God. A simple callback out of courtesy would have sufficed.
