Left an Ego 765 leaf blower about 4 weeks ago cause it stopped working.
Had a good experience when leaving the tool for repair, although I expected a replacement since the unit is less than a year old, told me they’ll contact me in about 2 weeks when the repair is done.
Never got a phone call, so I called 3 days after the 2 weeks, the lady who was on the phone told me that I received the wrong information, repairs for those units take around 4 to 4.5 weeks.
Called them today to find out if my tool is ready since nobody is calling to provide a status, now the person over the phone says it’s about 6 to 6.5 weeks for these units, they just keep pushing the date a couple weeks every time I call.
Disappointed with the ego brand for not replacing the tool and with the customer service this store has.

I typically shop at a different Ace Hardware store but needed parts for my eGO lawn mower. EGO pointed me to this store. I demonstrated my issue to the store associate. Though young he completely understood the issue and agreed with me on the parts I needed. He helped me write up the order. The price in this store was very competitive! Parts should arrive in a week.

Bought a Craftsman lawnmower from Ace Hardware last summer. it wasn't cutting well so we took it back last summer after a few uses and they said it was because it was a humid summer and the grass was wet even though it wasn't raining. It quit running in the fall so my husband took it in to be repaired. They told him they were only working on snow blowers, bring it back in the spring. Brought it back 4/13. They told him they would call when it's ready. Three weeks go by, no call. I call and I got told we should have dropped it off sooner. I explained we really need our mower back. I was told basically too bad, they will get to it when they get to it, they are repairing them based on the date it was dropped off. I said when will you get to it. I was told I have no idea, depends on how many mowers a day we got in before yours, how many they can fix a day, depends on if we have the part yours needs, once we get to yours, if we don't have the part it will take longer. He refused to check on it for me. I stopped in yesterday and they couldn't find our mower. They finally realized it was the one that had been sitting there with no tag on it for weeks. They couldn't call us to know what was wrong with it because they had no info on it. Whoever took it when we dropped it off, after they gave us our half of the claim check, didn't put the other half on the mower. They realized ours was the mystery mower and the repair guy and manager were very helpful. They said they'd have it done by tomorrow. According to local repair people (we called around to see if someone else could fix it sooner), the Craftsman brand is no longer a good brand, this mower will last us maybe 4 or 5 years and is pretty much junk. Sad to hear that Ace is selling garbage that won't last long, won't stay running and their inability to properly tag a mower kept ours at their shop for weeks longer then need be. My husband went in today to talk to the owner, we'd like to return the mower and purchase something that will actually run and last more than a few years. He told my husband he would give him $100 for the mower. So the owner sells junk, won't refund your money for the junk you buy and offers $100 for a mower that less than a year ago we paid $400+ for. I would take your money elsewhere and not buy anything over $10 from this Ace Hardware in case it turns out to be a crappy product.

Not a pleaseant experience. Will not be going back.
Customer service for the rental equipment dept needs work, when it comes to Liam. Not a pleasurable experience working with him. Young guy with much to learn about quality customer service. Serving customers is not where he should be, in my opinion.
Charges for 24 hours and then tells me I have to have the equipment back before 4pm the next day, I picked the equipment up at 5:30 the day before!? What does 24hr rental actually mean to you, Liam? To be precise, I even returned the unit by 3:40pm.. so that Liam did not have to rush around at closing time. I Should have showed up right at 3:59!!
Not getting the full 24hrs of use, dealing with unexpected hit and miss rain, I did not have the time to hose off the unit. HAD I been able use the unit 24 hours in which I paid for, I would have been able to use the last 1.5 hours to clean the unit.
Liam still made sure that I paid for cleaning, he kindly added cleaning fees to the final bill. The machine had normal minimal use. He did not mention reimbursement for the 24hrs he charged me for.
As long as Liam is not put out, you will have a smooth transaction although, Liam has no issues putting the customers out. Not allowing the full 24hrs then charging for 24hr usage along with fees for cleaning, is bad customer service in my book.
Thanks but no thanks, not again.
****** To the owner..
I rent from many of the local equipment rental companies. Your company is the only one recieving a review like this from me.
Despite your conversation with Liam, I explained my experience, as I experienced it. Kind of strange how my wife even mentioned Liam's bossy nature. I did not even want to deal with trying to explain my thoughts on the experience with Liam at the time. My impression at the time was not one that had me feeling my side would be recieved well by Liam. You can defend him all you want although, you were not present.
As far as your recorded documentation, I specifically had discussed picking the unit up late Saturday night, otherwise, I would not have been able to pick the unit up until 10am Sunday morning, due to your late morning hours on Sunday. The pickup time was not some random change on my end, as you are trying to say. Clearly, your claim that I decided to change pickup times explain you do not have the transaction right. That is not my fault, lack of communication at your businesses is to blame.
Your policy? Why did one of your employees tell me the day of reservation, I can drop the unit off Sunday night or Monday morning (No extra charges)? Then, the day I pick it up, I am checked out by Liam who basically already started mentioning charges for being late? Now, I am being told two different ways to return the unit?? I even mentioned to Liam about being told I could drop the unit off after hours Sunday night or, first thing Monday morning.
I will add that the one other time I rented from your company, the experience was good and at that time, I rented a sod remover. I was told I could return that late Sunday night after hours, which I did. Your policy is only valid, it seems, when you decide to inforce it. Doesn't sound like much of a policy to me!
I am not going to waste anymore time explaining my side of things. My review stands, regardless of Liam's side of the story.
I will keep my business with companies who back what they say.

Called at 1:30pm on a Sunday to ask a few questions about screen repair. Said I'd be dropping off later that day. Worker said nothing about them closing at 4pm...would've been a nice heads up.
Show up at 4:02, doors are locked but people still checking out and in the store. Since I'm only dropping screens off and not shopping, I ask if I can do that...nope.
Yes, I should've checked the store hours, but it just speaks to a lack of customer service.

Very disappointed with this location. Purchased a griddle in store on 4/6 with delivery, was told it was in stock and would be called a couple of days later to schedule delivery. No one called. I then called on 4/11 and was told griddle was being assembled as we spoke and should be delivered in a couple of days. Still nothing. Finally called back again on 4/16, and was told it would be another week before I could expect it to be delivered. All of this could have been avoided with clear communication. I have purchased many large items from this location in the past, but will be taking my business to another store in the future.
