Stayed at BWI downtown and by the State Park, different trips. Downtown - had stayed there several years ago when my daughter got married. Nothing special but close to the venue and space for the girls to hang out. Stayed again this summer with my daughters. No bedding for the pull out bed available, floor was dirty, old and outdated, location good but that’s it. By State Park - old, outdated, paper thin walls, no tissues in room, not very secure at all. Location is very good, but I’d exchange that for a better place. I’m sure in its day it was great, but not now. I wouldn’t recommend either place and won’t be back.

My husband and I booked room 3K for 4 nights in September 2023 online . We went by some of the previous reviews on the location and the water and beach being right across from hotel. We drove 3 hours to have a Rest and Relaxing vacation after losing our son June 25th of 2023 . When we arrived to the hotel and went to office to check in we were looking at the hotel area and it was very run down and very out dated to say the least. We asked to see our room we booked . Going up on the second floor to our room we observed a lot of things dirty and not updated at all .When we opened the door to go in we were really shocked to see furniture that nothing matched and everything was scratched, dented, and so dirty looking. The curtains were dirty and looked like they hadn't been washed in a very long time. The living room sofa was a very broken down love seat that was a hide a bed that when pulled out there was no sheets or blankets in the room for it and it was so old and dirty. It truly was not at all what we were expecting . When you pay 1000.00 $ for 4 nights you would expect so much more .Needless to say we were very very disappointed but had, no choice at that point to stay or lose all of our money. There was no dead bolt locks on the doors for safety. The sliding glass door had no lock only a wood board put in the rail of door . That was your security. The only thing this place has going good for it is the fact that the Grand Haven State Park was across the street and Lake Michigan .Learnt a huge lesson on this one . You need to always check things out throughly before booking it .Very very disappointed in the Bluewater Inn and Suites in Grand Haven . Could of gotten a lot nicer hotel for that kind of money for sure. Please be avised not to expect much here as in the hotel itself. The View and being close to the lake is all it's good for. Will never stay here again ....Be warned ⚠️

The blue water downtown inn apartments are just gross. Cob webs, floors covered in sand, cracked windows, oven that doesn't work, just gross all around. Don't stay here.

Best location, directly across from the beach. Well taken care of, room was excellent, clean and comfortable. Parking can be challenging on weekends, but there is space all rooms.

VERY outdated and run down. The location is great. Staff is great and very accommodating. Rooms are VERY small. Parking is a BIG issue. Would never stay here again. It’s no better than a boys college house. The bathroom door would hit the toilet going in. Would not recommend. No closet to hang your clothes. Room was approximately 8’ x 8’. We only stayed one night and went elsewhere. Dirty and messy.Rooms: See above

This little beachfront Inn on Lake Michigan is a gem! It has a roof top up above with seating so you can see the beach and the lake and looking down is a quaint, beautiful court yard plush with plants and water fountains. The rooms are all decorated differently and are extremely clean! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and had answers to all my questions. I will definitely be going back to this wonderful Inn.

Simple family run business with the best beach access around, just cross the street. Owner has beach umbrellas, boogie boards, 2 bicycles and anything you might need to borrow for a day at the beach. Front game room with dozens of board games and couches for that rainy day. Propane grills and tables in the center courtyard for dining al fresco!

I hate leaving negative reviews for businesses, it took me weeks to decide to do this. We have stayed at this inn 3 times over 6 years. It’s always been outdated, but this year it was also gross. There were hairs on my pillow when I went to bed. There was a hole in the wall of our room, and so many things were filthy. When I had issues connecting to the Wi-Fi, the young girl in the office said she didn’t know what to do. I Was just so disappointed given how expensive the rooms are.

Linda is the best hostess one could ask for.She walked us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed. We even got free ice while we were there. I accidently left my earrings in the room and Linda mailed them back to me. We would definitely stay again. ?

This is a great place to stay. This may be an older inn but it has everything that a person needs. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will be staying there on our next vacation in Michigan. The view from the balcony was beyond great. This is a very CLEAN place.

I love this place. It is always clean and owners are friendly and hospitable. The cottage look and quaint furnishings are adorable. The recreation room is full of activities for children and adults. Worth a stay! And it is across the street from the state park at Lake Michigan. Beautiful view...

My friends and I just love staying here!! It’s the perfect location because we can walk everywhere including the beach at sunset. The owner and his staff are just lovely. We are in our 60’s and also enjoy just relaxing on the beautiful deck that is shaded. It’s the perfect little getaway for a group of ladies ?

Quaint Inn on the shore of Lake Michigan at the Grand Haven State Park beach front. These well loved accomodations are the perfect place to stay when you just need a little beach time (for couples or families) without breaking the bank. Upper balcony is the perfect place to watch the sun set. Rooms have small refrigerators, microwaves and TV's but no phones. Some are suites which include a more robust kitchen. The lounge area comes with lots of games for the whole family. You can even borrow beach chairs and toys rather than bringing your own.

Great hotel, very charming. I loved the balconies, courtyard, and view. Awesome location - directly across from the beach! Reserved parking which was great. Our room was cute and clean. There is no maid service, but we were given plenty of towels. My only issue was not having our trash picked up or a central place to take trashThere are stairs, no elevator, but worth it when all is taken into account. There are games in the lobby and toys, beach chairs, etc available for use on the beach.
