My first appointment was for a hair cut. Karen did an awesome job cutting my waist long wavey hair to above the shoulder length. She was very detailed in asking what I wanted done. She made suggestions and helped in making my decisions of exactly what I wanted. She did an amazing job and my hair looks great. Nice and short and easy to comb with only 5 strokes of a comb. I love it!!!!!!

I highly recommend this salon. I had Kate the owner. She is amazing. She listened to what i wanted and gave me the cut i wanted. She is very nice and does a great job. I will be sticking with Kate and her salon from now on.Services: Shampoo & conditioning

I I moved about 25 minutes away from the salon and I started going to a couple other salons and one of them was a real expensive one and I just had to come back to Kay Marie's salon to see Karen because she is so awesome and always does exactly what I need her to do to my hair.

The haircut was great. The people were super friendly, but there was no thank you for the generous tip, there was no have a nice day, but there was frustration due to how long it took to cut my hair. I'd possibly be willing to give it another try with a different stylist. They did however, squeeze me in last minute, so there's that.

PROS: Super friendly staff and salon artists. Prices are pretty normal compared to other places. It used to be Cindy's Haircare and Cindy still works here I believe so it was just taken over by someone else and remodeled a little bit. Their covid layout is nice and much more spread out. CONS: I've been coming here for years...however lately I've noticed that the past few times I've gone I am walking out disappointed. I know that my hair takes 3 hours of work every time I go to any salon, but when I spend 3 hours of my time and walk out disappointed...then we got problems. I'm too nice of a person to tell the salon artist that they did not do what I asked, especially when I sit in the chair and we basically become friends. I walked in wanting my hair to be light strawberry blonde with blonde highlights/balayage, trimmed and styled. I walked out 3 hours and $150 later with the same color hair as I had with barely noticeable blonde highlights and two almost white highlights in the front of my face. She trimmed and curled it (that was okay.) I'm not sure what highlights she was putting in for so long, but they were the same color as my hair so you can't even see them. Pictures attached of what I looked like before, what I wanted and showed her, and what I got. I'm tired of this place letting me down and taking my money.
