This branch is the worst customer service I've ever seen. The guy at the counter doesn't have a clue on what's going on. I told him I was moving, he took my name and address down and said they will hold my mail for 30 days. Well they didn't and they had no idea they were supposed to be holding it. So where's my mail now going on 20 days dealing with these people. I asked to see the manager, good luck he's never there. He's leave before 1pm every day. so I took off work to go talk to him and big surprise, he called in. I've talked to other people and they said the same thing that they have no idea what they are doing down there. They need to get new management that actually works there so they can build trust back.

I’ve had trouble like this multiple since moving to Galesburg with getting my mail, but they delivered the parcel box key to the wrong mailbox and wouldn’t come back out to fix it. I now don’t know where my package is at or if someone else has it. Mind you it was an order of diapers for my daughter and I expressed it was urgent. Just kinda bummed at the service. You should be willing to fix mistakes YOU made while handling mail. Considering tampering with others mail is like a federal offense and now someone else has my package:)))

Had a package that was to be delivered to Portage, MI. On the day of promised delivery (3-27-24), Galesburg USPS sent it to Petoskey, MI instead. Portage ZIP code is 49002. Petoskey ZIP is 49770. Galesburg USPS not only delivered to the wrong city, but a completely different ZIP code. That takes a special level of skill to do as a post office.

Galesburg is an awesome post office! Very attentive employees with little or no mistakes at all.

I put 2 stars because I understand how badly understaffed the USPS are. I have a business and send many packages around this great country. But I have never in 8 years have had a package sat in the buyers town for 90 days waiting to be scanned. So I send out another package and that package fell off the face of the earth. Then I was told by the automated Siri that someone would get back to me. This was going on 90 days . I filed not one but 4 reports online and and am still waiting for someone to call me back. With the hours they have it’s nearly impossible for me to get a phone cal out and when I do the line is busy. I feel bad for the postal workers there who have to pick up the slack for those who are either not doing their jobs or doing everything they can because they lack the manpower. How horrible for Galesburg.

They always give me a yellow slip to pick up my mail the a day later there is a notice that if my mail isn't picked up by x date it will be returned to the sender. I work 8-5 how am I supposed to get there on your timeframe?No stars would be a better rating.

How can a small town post office give a package that needs a signature to the wrong person and I even had yellow pick up slip. And when I asked about it I was told that was from the 11th b.s I am in there everydayAnd the one lady told me it was scanned across the counter at 11 a.m so she called her coworker and while laughing about it they determined that it was given to some lady but don't remember what she looked like. This makes me really mad that they do not check i.d of the person who picks up a package that is clearly supposed to be checked. If my item does not show up with a reasonable explanation and apology I am filing a complaint with consumer affairs and will prosecute who ever has it in their possession. They better watch their cameras and reprimanded as need be

... I believe this said that they deliver my expensive packages to the wrong address, don't knock or wait for someone to show up... for some reason my review was only showing up as 3 dots, and not the actual review I left.. Weird.

They always deliver packages to the wrong damn address. Especially in my apartments. And there is nothing they can do cuz the delieved driver says "I put it in the right one" then it's sorry ur outta luck! It's completely bullcrap. I pay good money for my stuff, just for some low life person to get it instead of me. I mean the job is so simple....read the address. End of story. These employees or so incompetent it is rediculous. I mean come on!!! A 5 year old could do a better job then this excuse for a postal service seriously. If u live by here and use them get a P.O box.
