Can’t pay my bill and website won’t open. Service is spotty at best and I completely lose internet on a regular basis. Not worth the aggravation or the money

I was approached three times at home about signing up. The tech said my neighbors on both sides were having it installed. Now I have a cord from the junction box on my property running over my yard to my neighbors house. Nobody gave me a heads up, no one said anything about coming back and burying it. I guess when we run it over with the lawnmower it will be problem solved. Frankly, I’m not impressed.

Had the internet for 89 days. Had a full week of interrupted internet. When I called I couldn’t get in touch with anyone due to automated person saying “that there looks to be an outage in your area and if that the reason of calling I no longer needs to stay on the line” when by passing that message I spoken to someone who credit my account $10 for the week of interrupted services. No estimate time of how long the service was going to be out. I went with a different internet provider. After you have metro for 2 full bills they will give you a $200 gift card. First month free so you need to have the services for 3 months (90 days ). Since I had it for 89 days but still had to pay the full bill I wasn’t qualified for the gift card. This place scams people to believing they have great internet services but don’t say anything about outages. Look at the other comments and they all say something about outages please Don’t buy in. Stay with your current provider. It will save you the headache.

Switched to metronet a few months ago and nothing but issues. I work from home so I kept the lowest spectrum plan for backup while making the transition. Glad I did because their amazing fiber internet went out 2 days ago in our area and they say it will still be a few days to fix. Called and upgraded my spectrum back to a gig and cancelled metronet. They have no way of updating their customers as well if you call in they just say we know we messed up deal with with. Do not switch over in the Kalamazoo area.

I've had it for 6 months and the connections have been really intermittent at best. I've now had back to back outages, 3 days in a row.

First person I dealt with was very nice and helpful. Once I signed up for service, everything went downhill. Fiber was slow and unreliable. Canceled it - and that was a hassle. They aren't equipped structurally to provide good service.

I feel bad for the customer service reps at Metronet. Over the past 2 weeks, Metronet has provided the worst internet experience I have ever received. My internet is dropping several times daily, I regularly can’t connect to online meetings for work, and I’ve had disconnects while watching TV or playing games due to an inconsistent connection, including my wired-in Cat 6 PC. All of this is already on top of the horrible care the installers took of my yard, and the hidden $12 monthly “tech service fee” which is apparently mandatory. At this point, Metronet should be paying me for the headaches I’ve had to endure dealing with you guys every month. If you didn’t have a monopoly on fiber internet everywhere you operate, you’d be out of business by now. I’m going back to Spectrum, which tells you how awful this experience has been.

Our internet modem stopped working, three days running, the call in line said there was a disruption and to "hang up, as we are working to alleviate the situation asap." Turned out, after a call to sort out account information with a customer service rep., it was discovered the problem lay with my modem. The technician on the line, made an appointment for another tech. to come out. The problem was taken care of in about 20 minutes. Completely happy with the outcome.

Editing to add, we are on day 4 now. The tech that came out after the appointment window went in and out all day and still did not fix the issue. We got a call at 8pm that someone else could come out next week. What a joke. They finally decided to have someone try again tomorrow. We have little faith that they will actually show up on time, be able to actually fix the issue and not further damage our house in trying to fix the issue. We never complained that the original installer took a massive chunk out of our window trim but people should know that’s what could happen to them. If you want to not be able to work from home, like having your time wasted and like having to constantly follow up on your ticket, call Metronet. Otherwise stay with one of the more reputable providers. It’s been 3 days, 5 phone calls, one manager and multiple incorrectly entered service tickets and these folks haven’t been able to fix our internet that we are paying for but not receiving. It would be one thing if this were a major outage but it is not and we’ve been told by 3 very kind reps that it’s a super simple fix. Unfortunately our tickets don’t seem to be making it to the department that literally just needs to push a button to fix this before they leave at 5pm central time despite the assurance that it will be fixed this time. There are major training and management issues. It has been fun slipping all over the roads in -25 windchills to get to work when I could just work from home. This company is extremely incompetent and their supervisors are the poorest examples of leaders I have ever encountered. If you want internet that gets fixed quickly stay with Spectrum or AT&T.

Metronet did a neighborhood wide unoptional installation when coming to the West Side of Lansing - but they did a terrible job refilling their dig sites - which lead to sinking ground in our front yard. There's no walking towards the street from the front yard without risking twisting an ankle. Thanks Metronet!

I like metronet I wish they where in more location. Their internet is good. And their customer service is awesome because you can talk to someone.

Once CTS sold to Metronet the quality and reliability of our internet has suffered severely.UPDATE 8/26/23: now we have no internet. Have to wait until a tech can come out, meanwhile we are still paying a bill for internet. Still very disappointed. In order to get it resolved we have to take time off of work so that we can be at our house all day.
