If I could give this place zero stars I would. I spoke to a lady over the phone & politely asked for a quote on a transmission service/add upgraded parts. I told her that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the transmission and all i wanted was just a simple quote. She then said they hafto physically look at the parts and take apart the whole transmission just to give me a quote!? How ridiculous.

Fixed my car at a reasonable rate. Also fixed a cpl other issues that I didn't know I had. I would come here again. Very fair and trustworthy, something that's hard to find in any business these days. A guy named Greg was the mechanic A+++

Every once in a decade or so I meet someone who goes above and beyond for reasons that I have to infer are altruistic and intrinsic. That’s been my experience with Pam. I have a 2015 GMC Acadia and have been looking for a replacement headlight from Michigan to Texas, and found replacement LED’s in Mount Pleasant because I know these folks. I wouldn’t call this a review because it’s been an experience; I would confidently recommend these folks to anyone who wants a repair done in a manner that makes you feel like you enjoyed spending your hard earned money. Having met mechanics, and understanding the difference between a mechanic and a ‘part replacer’ I can vouch for the mechanic in this shop. If I can’t do it myself these folks will always be my first call, they should probably be yours, too,Services: Battery

When you take your vehicle to Transmission Specialists, you will be dealing with an owner who provides outstanding customer service. Gary wants you to be totally satisfied and will go above and beyond expectations to ensure you are happy with his service. I have a wheelchair-accessible van which needed some transmission work done on it. After getting some estimates and wanting to use a local business, I took it to Transmission Specialists. While it took a couple of weeks to get the repairs done, I was very happy with what it cost.Shortly after, I took the van on a trip to Florida. Unfortunately, the transmission stopped working after 300 miles on the road, and I was stranded in Cincinnati for five days. Gary worked with a transmission shop in the area, including sending a replacement part to fix the issue.After five days I was on the road again. This time the transmission shut down after 100 miles, and I had the van towed to a dealership. They had the van for four days and couldn't diagnose what the problem was. So, Gary, AT HIS OWN EXPENSE, drove over 400 hundred miles in wintery conditions to pick up the van and haul it back to Freeland. He then took the transmission apart and replaced a key component. Later he took it on a road trip to Traverse City with no issues. On the return trip he started troubleshooting, experimenting with different accessories working together, and discovered an ELECTRICAL issue that caused the transmission to stop working when the cruise control and the windshield wipers were both turned on. So, Gary was able to diagnose the root cause what a transmission shop in Cincinnati and a Toyota dealership in Lexington, KY, could not.I will recommend Transmission Specialists to anyone who needs a reliable, trustworthy mechanic for their vehicle.

Had a great experience taking my truck here. They worked around my schedule and even worked on it during the weekend because I needed it back quick. Great people and even though they had plenty of cars there, I felt like their #1 priority.

Terrible place to go. Had my truck in there 5 times to get fixed. And never once did it ever get fixed. Then they made up reasons of why my transmission kept going out. I called other places and they said that they were lying. Said the motor was making the transmission to go out. Also I said on the 3rd time I was picking it up to take it somewhere else so he took my truck to the garage and wouldn't let me have it. This place is a joke. The 5th time picking it up he threatened to fight me. Never go here
