I had previously booked with the Alamo next to it, and they closed before my appointment time. The woman at the desk saw I couldn’t get my car and went above and beyond to find me a new car from hertz. I was very thankful for all the work she did!

Hertz is very disrespectful. They lie and don't look out for customers. Don't rent from hertz.

It was my first time renting I got a Tesla in Tesla it said I’d get 300 miles a charge I only had to go 100 and some miles. I got the Tesla and 75% charge it almost dies. I have to drive out of my way to charge it to make it to where I was going I plug the car in overnight the charger did not charge the car when I got in the car in the morning at a notification about a faulty charger had to go to a different hotel hide in the back, charge it off an actual tesla charger enough to make it to a different charger at a public location almost dies by the time I make it back, even after charging it to 100% they didn’t let me park at the rental place so I had to pay for airport parking. My truck got locked in the parking and I asked for help in and I was told that she didn’t work for the airport Extremely rude it ruined my trip Extremely stressful. I will not be back

TRAVELERS BE ADVISEDMy mother recently had the unpleasant experience of being stranded at the MBS airport in Saginaw, Michigan due to the Hertz car rental desk policy of not waiting for travelers with Hertz car reservations if their flight gets delayed beyond the Hertz closing time.She used Delta airlines to book my car reservation and they use Hertz. She made a car reservation and her flight was due to arrive at 5 PM which was an hour before the Hertz closing time of 6PM. She included her flight number in her car reservation booking. Unfortunately, her flight out of Detroit was delayed and did not arrive at MBS until 6 PM. She was standing at the Hertz desk at 6:14 PM only to find it closed and no one was around. She was not the only passenger that this happened to. There were 5 of them who also had put in their flight information. So, Hertz closed knowing full well that they were stranding 5 passengers.She called Hertz customer service who at first accused her of not putting in her flight information and said they were not responsible. When the representative was told to look up the reservation and see that flight information was submitted, she then said that it is Hertz policy to close at their stated closing time and that they do not wait for passengers on delayed flights. This makes me wonder why they have a place on the reservation for putting your flight number in since they have no intention of waiting for you if your flight gets delayed. She asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there was not one available.The 4 other passengers and her then got in line at the Avis/Budget counter which was the only car rental business open at the airport at that time. The Avis/Budget rep told us that it is their policy to always wait for delayed flights if the flight number is included on the reservation. While they were in line, they tried to call a cab and learned that there is NO taxi service to the MBS airport. The Avis rep told them that she had the phone number for the only Uber driver who worked the airport but she was not working that day. After a lengthy wait while the Avisrepresentative took care of all the Avis customers with car reservations she told them she had one vehicle left which was a suburban. She rented it and then transported the rest of the stranded group to their destinations before than going on to her destination.I am appalled that this is the way Hertz treats its customers and disappointed that Delta uses Hertz for its car rentals.

I am surprised that rating is low for this location. I had a friendly staff encounter and got a decent car very quickly. Car return was very easy too due to small airport. Overall it met my expectations.

I would like to start off by saying I have never felt so disrespected, discriminated against and embarrassed in my life. Once I arrived at the Hertz counter, I greet the customer service representative tell her I have a reservation, provide her with my name and hand her my credit card and driver’s license. She informs me of the what vehicle I will be receiving. This is a different size vehicle then what I reserved so I asked her if I could see it. She walked out from around the corner and went outside to the door to open the vehicle so I could see inside. I stopped to inform my partner that there was a change in the vehicle. By the time I made it to the vehicle it was locked. I walked back inside to the rental counter to ask the rep to unlock the car again. She started to walk outside again but loudly said never mind and handed me the key. While handing me key say loudly said “Please don’t steal my car”!People around started staring and talking under their breath and pointing due to her comment. Words can’t describe how embarrassing this was. I was the only black person there. Her comment me feel like she racially profiled me. I know she would have not said that to a white person.Also bear in mind at this point she had possession of my driver’s license and credit card. I have rented a vehicle at this location on a few other occasions and never had these kinds of problems. I replied back and told her she had all my information and that I am a gold rewards member. Once she finished with preparing my reservation, she informed me that the gas was not full on ¾ and that I could return it back in a ¼ tank of gas. I returned the gas with 7/8 tank of gas. I was charged for gas when I should not have been. The car had a smelly odor and had stains in it.

I MADE A RESERVATION WITH HERTZ CAR RENTAL AT MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIR PORT AFTER ARRIVING AT THE HERTZ LOCATION THEY ADVICED ME THAT I COULD NOT USE MY CREDIT CARD BECAUSE IT DID NOT HAVE A CHIP . IT IS A VISA CREDIT CARD AND I USE IT EVERY WHERE . SO SHE TOLD ME I WOULD NOT BE CHARGED ANY FEES BUT THEN CHARGED ME $30.45 CANCELATION FEE GOT ON THE PHONE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO .... i AM A RADIO DJ AND HERTZ WILL BE GETTING FREE ADVERTISING ABOUT MY EXPERIANCE WITH HERTZ ... WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY IN THE WORLD

The car was clean and good on gas,but the charged my card over an extra 300. Husband called and called. Was told 30 days back in my account. We are over 60. They charged me for 12 extra days. Well now I am not happy. I called them and let them know and I have the contract from the collision place. So Now I am being told 5-7 days and was given the exact amount that was taken off my card. I told her I don't think so I want the interest that was made. That belongs to me. Not only did you steal over 300.00 you made money off the money the money you stole. That money is mine and so is the interest. I said I wonder how many other people that haven't noticed that you stole from them that you banked on plus made interest on that money

Je déconseille la location de véhicules à l’agence de MBS. J’attends toujours le remboursement des frais engagés suite au problème mécanique (du à une négligence humaine du mécano qui a oublié de remettre le bouchon sur le carter d’huile) let de l’indemnisation pour compenser cette nuisance. L’agence de MBS n’a pas été en mesure de régler le problème et la responsable de cette agence (S - - - - -) n’a pas daigné sortir de son bureau (backstage) lors de la réclamation. Cela fait 2 mois 1/2 que la panne s’est produite et elle aurait pu être grave de conséquences.

I ended up having a freak accident on the expressway not too long ago. I called everywhere within a 100 mile radius and no one had anything available. I ended up getting in touch with Jerry at Hertz @ the Saginaw airport! He was a heaven sent! Helped me quickly and efficiently over the phone- said he would stay open to wait for me knowing that I was on my way! He was beyond kind, helpful, and considerate to me and my feelings considering what I just had been through! Made things so easy for me that I wanted to tell Jerry he just made a new best friend! Thanks Jerry for your superb customer service and Hertz for the rental!

Set up a reservation as it was the cheapest one way, got a call today, the day I was suppose to pick up my rental. Brittany says they have no cars and she'll call back when one gets in. She calls back hours later and still no cars. She tells me she should get cars between 3 and 5.... they close at 5. No car, no call for an update. I know there are other hertz places around, why couldn't they send a car from them to the location I'm picking up from? I'm about to cancel my reservation.

We are writing this review NOT because we rented a car with Hertz, but because of the superior customer service that was shown to us by Gail a Hertz employee. In the beginning of September we were at Freeland Michigan Airport with my elderly Mother In-law trying to locate Alamo car rental. Gail who works for Hertz graciously had us follow her to the location rather than give us directions. Then after we got the car rented Gail walked over to help after witnessing my Mother Inlaw struggling with some of the buttons in the car. She spent as much time as my Mother Inlaw needed to feel comfortable. Considering we were not even Hertz customers that was above and beyond unbelievable! Alamo didn't even ask or offer any help. Hertz you just gained lifetime customers because of one person's amazing and thoughtful actions. Thank you Gail!!
