“I purchased a Blackstone on a sale online only to find out that corporate shipped the wrong grill when I went to pick it up. Of course there were none in stock at any surrounding stores except one quite a ways away. I was willing to wait for the next shipment at the end of December, however with the help of Cayden and John, I was able to get the grill I ordered after all. John actually drove to the next nearest store in Gladwin to pick it up personally. A great example of outstanding customer service at Hemlock Ace Hardware. Thank you for everything.”

“Accidentally shipped some items to this store instead of our closest store. The cashier at the returns desk helping us get them checked us out for a couple items we bought in store. She gave us our military discount and asked if we received our military discount on the online order, we told her no it wouldn’t let us. She credited the online order and said if it ever happened again just to call and they would take care of it manually. It was nice to have someone go that little extra for you,”

“This Home Depot is the store I go to first if I ever need anything they might sell. Not only do they have a great selection with quality items, everyone is always friendly here and someone almost always stops me to ask if I need help. But this store goes above and beyond in regards to customer service.Just to give an example of what I mean, I ordered a small chest freezer off the Home Depot app and after it was delivered, I unboxed it and saw it was damaged. So I called the store and spoke to James who told me he could give me the number to have someone schedule to pick it up to exchange it or I could just bring it in, which I did. I didn't even need the box. Freezers stock levels were tough, but James not only went out of his way to find me a new freezer, he went to a nearby town to pick it up and bring it back to the store for me! He also refunded my initial delivery fee and sold me the next size up for the same price!Then, when I get the new chest freezer home when wiping out the inside, I notice at the bottom in one of the corners there's a gap. So now I'm worried that when frost builds up and I defrost the freezer water might leaked into that gap. So I text James who is off work but still replies to me, kindly sympathizing and suggests I call the store.I end up talking to the operations manager, Nick Chambers. He offers to swap it out for me or lets me know it would be fine if I wanted to seal it. I agree that I'd like to keep it after everything that happened and that sealing the bottom would be the best choice. So Nick ends up giving me a free professional caulking gun and caulk, a total $30 value.I already thought Home Depot had the best selection and the friendliest staff. But after everything I've experienced with this store, I'm a Home Depot customer for life.”

Plus I am a professional service employee. You can't get better service then Stan, Joel and the gang of Freeland folks that work there.”
