Worst customer service experience I've had in years. If you didn't know Dollar thrifty and Hertz are all one in the same. The company merged during COVID-19. Can't get a human on the phone and if you do they don't know what is going on and send you to the next person that don't know.

I booked a car from Dollar through Expedia. Now Dollar says that Expedia has to make all changes and Expedia says Dollar must do so. This is a freaking nightmare.

This vehicle (sonic) drives well enough and has gotten me from destination A to B. That being said… when we rented through Expedia there was never a mention of the $200. plus deposit you are required to leave upon picking up your vehicle. I was fully prepared to leave $90. plus stayed in the paper workAlso (did not do a walk-around) before driving off the lot and discovered a bit of damage on the left outside wheel. Plus internally the car smell as though a smoker previously drove it and there is what appears to be Some type of pet hair all over the dash… my granddaughter and I are super allergic. What the hell… there are explicit requirements in the paperwork that just don’t seem to apply

booked a rental back in May, for my trip to Phoenix, had to cancel due to covid. I was told on May 19th when I canceled, my deposit would sent back to me in seven to ten business days. I called the company on June 8th, I was told the credit hadn't been approved to be processed...I'd have to wait ANOTHER seven to ten days. I called June 24th, I was told the process for my refund wasnt started until june 12th, that I would have my money back by monday (28th) called my bank account Tuesday. no deposit. called today. no deposit. spoke to someone named Marvin, he told me my money was put back in my account on the 18th. but when I spoke to whomever about it last thursday, I was told the process for my refund wasnt started until june 12th...asked for a supervisor, theyre busy they'll call me back. I called BACK after 2 hours of no call back, someone named Jose, which is who I spoke to on the 24th, told me my money was refunded and in my account on June 10th. how is that when you told me on the 24th my refund process didnt start until june 12th? I'm getting three different stories. anytime I ask for a supervisor, they're busy and I have to schedule a callback. wont be booking with you thieves anymore.

Worst car rental agency ever. Got a car with bald tires on the front, the passenger side tire was bald and cracking. They were not adequately staffed at either the pickup or return locations. Don't use tolls either - they charged over 90 dollars in admin costs for 5 dollars in tolls. Awful

Unfortunately I could not give them a ZERO rating, but if I could I would have. We reserved a one-way rental at the MBS airport location two days prior to our pick-up date. When we arrived we were told they had "no cars available" and there was "nothing they could do". When asked why we hadn't been notified prior to our arrival, which would have allowed us to make alternate plans, we were told it was "managements fault" because they had gotten rid of the fleet and "nearby locations were refusing to release any vehicles". If they are unable to provide vehicle for customers with reservations, why do they even offer service at this location?NEVER AGAIN will we EVER use Dollar Car Rental, nor would we EVER recommend Dollar Car Rental to anyone. HORRIBLE car rental service! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! AVOID this rental agency if you have a need for an actual vehicle.

Second time I've tried to get a car, with a confirmed reservation mind you, only to be told there aren't any more cars. First time was Hertz, second Dollar Rental. VERY unreliable! Even though they're the only option to choose from here, I'm STILL never trying to rent a car from them again! I'll call a cab or Uber.
