My husband and I had the pleasure of staying 4 nights at the Hotel Frankfort. We enjoyed every minute of it! Our room, The World Traveler, was extremely clean and so relaxing each evening with a soak in the hot tub! It was such a unique room and the whole building is such a wonder! It really was incredible! We were always greeted warmly each day, and enjoyed eating at the hotel restaurant one night as well! The service was great and so was the food! The location of this hotel is the best, being so close to both the river, Lake Michigan, and the cute downtown area of Frankfort! I can't say enough good things about our trip, and I definitely hope we will be back to visit again soon!

A very nice, clean and affordable spot to stay. But the location is really the key - walk a block to the west and you're right at the beach, walk a block to the east and you're right on Frankfort's cute main street with great shops, cafes, and places to eat. Stormcloud Brewing's wonderful brewpub is literally across the street. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed three nights in this classic hotel. Enjoyed the ambiance and central location especially.
Walkability: Access to beach and downtown shops was excellent.
Noteworthy details: Historic and Still up to date.

My husband and I stayed for a weekend get away. Everything was nice and clean, and the people were very nice. The only complaint I can say I have is , the door to the room there is a big gap, my husband used his sweats to block the hall way light that was going on and off. Downstairs the bar was really cozy.

Do yourself a favor and book your rooms for this lovely establishment! Everything from the art to service is exquisite! Unfortunately, we weren't able to eat in the lovely restaurant, but we did close the bar. Tim was very accommodating and entertaining. We were blessed with meeting the owner, and she was a very sweet and kind lady. Can't wait to book our next stay.

Had my wedding and reception here! Everything turned out beautiful! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Helped out with making my day so special! Rooms were beyond beautiful. Amazing sauna. Would highly recommend.
Rooms: Each room was beautifully decorated. Each with its own theme!
Food & drinks: Amazing food, great bar tender. Award winning clam chowder and some of the best crab cakes I've ever had!

This was the second time I stayed here. I was staying for a couple of days at Thanksgiving and having Thanksgiving dinner there. Since the first time I stayed they have my email and send me updates on time changes and saving specials. I think it is a special place to stay.
Nearby activities: Not sure, it was after the summer season.
Walkability: Frankfort downtown is small and easily walkable. It was a cold day, but I walked all over.

Fantastic food. But the New England clam chowder is possibly the best I've ever had.... and I've been up and down the east coast enjoying all the great seafood shacks and restaurants along the way ?

The hotel is centrally located and close to the beach. We really liked the hotel bar. Very nice and helpful bartender. Very good restaurant.
that didn't promise us:
However, when we arrived we found dirty towels in the sauna. The bed linen also had various stains. After we reported this, we were "cut" by certain people (including the manager).

It was a very nice room and nice shops to visit in town. My husband and I like to relax after shopping and wondering town so it was very nice to have comfortable furniture to sit on in front of the fireplace. I did think the room and the food was a bit over priced since we stayed out of season in October.

Bathroom sink was draining very slow like it was clogged and the floor was very dirty. We arrived late and extremely tired from a long flight and driving 5hours to get here and just wanted to sleep. The bed was comfy and staff was friendly. When we departed in the morning, we mentioned the bathroom conditions to staff there was no apology. We would have liked a consideration and acknowledgement but she wrote a note to advice cleaning crew instead. She thanked us for letting her know and that's it!
