To think that a few days old fudge tastes so much better than fresh fudge, this is the place to do it.
Had the raspberry fudge, double chocolate (I think), dark sea salt caramel. I would recommend sticking with the chocolatey ones. The raspberry, although good, would rate better as a chocolate base in my opinion.
The one everyone has to try is the sea salt caramel. I think my mind was blown how good it was. The subtle saltiness cuts down the intense richness of the fudge just enough and the caramel, gives it that different sweetness to the fudge and just made it so tasty.
It took days for me to finish the chocolate and raspberry ones, but the sea salt caramel just finished everything so quickly!
This one is also one of the best sellers as recommended by the employee working.
With that being said, employee was super friendly and gave service with a smile. Explained the best flavours and fave is recommendations.
Love the feel of the location as it gave off a d diner vibe with the bright red and white interior colours.
Definitely recommend for getting fudge, especially if you can’t get to Mackinac.
Great job overall!

Today we went here to get my daughter her favorite Toffees. She bought a dozen. These ladies in the photo created a Delicious sliced Apple Carmel peanuts cup to go and it was amazing. They also offer a strawberry and chocolate cup too. Both are absolutely delicious!!! I Highly recommend making a stop here and getting some of the Best treats on Main St.
The service here is the Best. ?

Cute little shop. Service was meh—took awhile for them to acknowledge us.
However, the sticking point is that the fudge was just not good. Last summer, we tried fudge from every shop on Mackinac Island as an ultimate taste test. I got the raspberry chocolate fudge (my favorite!) from this shop, and the flavor was just incredibly off. It wasn’t the melt-in-your-mouth richness that you expect from fudge.
This was a “one and done” for me.

Ice cream was terrible. It was like frozen ice instead of creamy rich ice cream. The waffle cone was super hard and really thick. Tried biting it, but a huge piece broke off. The first time I threw away ice cream.

Peanut Butter Frankenmuth Fudge flavor is a home run. Price very reasonable vs stores like Kilwins.

Zak & Mac Shop is a haven for chocolate and ice cream lovers! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the heavenly aroma of rich chocolates. Their selection is top-notch, with each piece crafted to perfection. The ice cream is equally impressive, with a wide range of creamy, flavorful options. The staff are friendly and passionate, making the experience even better. Whether for a treat or a gift,Zak & Mac is the perfect destination. Highly recommended!

One of the absolute worst experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve lived in this area my entire life and this is the first time I had ever been here, my family and I were admiring this 60 degree Sunday in March, so we decided to give it a shot. We waited in line for about 15 mins, for ice cream, when we got to the counter to order, the 2 gentleman working did not acknowledge my family of 3 for a good 5 mins. They were not friendly what so ever, we ordered 2 shakes and 1 cup of a regular ice cream. AJ had very poor communication and seemed flustered and rude. While moving at a very slow pace, He took our order 1 by 1 and basically threw our order together with poor service. Needless to say, the shakes were disappointing and we will NEVER be back.

Yikes! If you make your own fudge, your not going to like this stuff, especially the stuff up on the hill. It was dry and crusty, on the outside and left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn't try any fudge from Zac & Mac's second shop on main street. And I never will because at their prices, it's not worth the risk. The peanut butter fudge was like a mouthful of sugar and lacked flavor. The Maple fudge was slightly more flavored, but the consistency was more like a thick frosting. At $25 for a couple small chunks, and a long drive, I expected at least home quality fudge. Don't get your hopes up on replacing your recipe with this stuff, sadly. I known, I could have used the break this Christmas season.

Minus the cost of fudge. $22 for a slice of fudge is ridiculous.
