Cherry Republic is a true Michigan specialty shop located in the Frankenmuth River Place Shops. Known as Michigan’s Little Bavaria, the area is rich in history and full of festivals. The store specializes in everything cherry from the Grand Traverse region, including chocolate covered cherries, cherry salsa, cherry nut mixes, cherry wine, cherry pie filling, cherry tea, cherry root beer, and gift boxes. They offer many samples, including cherry wine tasting, to help customers choose from the vast selection. The staff is consistently described as friendly, helpful, nice, and professional. Visitors appreciate that the products are local from Michigan, making it a great place for gifts. Many customers leave wishing they had bought more, especially of the popular chocolate covered cherries. The store also features fun items like a tiny stuffed raccoon finger puppet tucked around the shop. It is a favorite stop for both tourists and returning visitors.

Enjoyed the wine sampling. All were delicious. Enjoyed the Cherrish and bought a bottle to take home. Nice staff.
