My wife and I shopped here during Labor Day sales, and the selection was not as big as I expected. Could've been the sale, but the only couch we liked was a lay z boy which was priced like a used truck.

Ron(pretty sure that was his name) was super helpful and not at all pushy or annoying like you get at some furniture stores. I took an obnoxious amount of time picking out my perfect chair and he was extremely helpful (checking prices and fabric options etc) and patient. Godwin's was founded in 1948 by brothers Gethin and George Godwin, they purchased a modest grocery store at the location of the State street Saginaw store. Over the years, the family watched Saginaw Township grow out and around the store. From this humble beginning evolved one of Michigan's largest furniture and mattress companies. Godwin's has grown to 11 stores located in mid-Michigan, and each store continues to be family owned and operated.
