I've taken my Asia, which is a 1yr 9mo. Old Blue female Doberman in to see Doc since she was 5mos. old, and he has always given her the best care. He gives her all her necessary shots and examinations. Even though Doc is the only one at his hospital, he gives every dog and cat the very best of care. He is also cheaper in price than other veterinarian hospitals, which I only care about her care that she gets, and I highly recommend Doc at Genesee Veterinary Hospital.

so very rude! wouldn't even hear me out , didn't even refer me to another doctor. He kept on interrupting me when even let me talk. I would question going there in the future if he decides to take more new patients.

The veterinarian is a wonderful doctor. He took very excellent care of my dog. The doctor performed a very touchy surgery he had to remove a large Lypoma under sparkles chin on her neck. He told me all the risks that could happen. However, he did a very good job. And is extremely fair on the cost of the work he performed on my ?. Ty very much for all your services and care for my animal.

Dr. Heaton is amazing with animals of all kinds. Never tries to sell you a service you don't need. I have taken many pets to him. Lizards, tortoise, bunnies and more.

Not sure about this vet. My boyfriend had been taking his dog (baby girl) here for 8 years. We took her there today for some flea preventative. He told him she needed some shots, my boyfriend said that he couldn't do all that today and was going to make an appt but the vet wouldn't even do that. He said well go somewhere else then. I feel this vet doesn't really care for animals at all and has a really bad attitude. Cares more about the money. Just my opinion. The vet did say he is only keeping the people that bring there pets there for their well visit. Which is fine but my boyfriend does take her in for her shoes yearly. It was exactly 1 year ago this month that he took her last year. Not sure what his problem was. But im glad he is not her vet anymore. Rude rude rude.!

The most straight forward kind hearted veterinarian ? (even knew I was a big cry baby when it comes to my pets ? and made me laugh even when he knew i wanted to cry?) and has helped me before with my dog Bruizer years ago ?Have never had a vet care enough to even give me his personal cell # in case I had any questions or concerns ? (or some tough love ? to get me back on track ?). Thx Dr. Heaton for ur help, ur kindness, tough luv and caring about not just the pets but there owners also. ❤️ Warden's family appreciates you!

I wish I had read these reviews before taking my dog to this Veterinarian.. I took my dog in for his yearly check up. I also noticed a soft lump in his ear so I asked him to look at it. He took a quick glance and said it was a Aural Hematoma and would require major surgery costing at the minimum $1000. When I said I didn’t think I could do that he said there was no need to do anything else like check for heart worms or any other yearly check ups. He made me feel like my dog was on his deathbed. When I got home and did some research I found out it was not life threatening and could possibly go away on it’s own! In my opinion he was very rude and unprofessional!

Yes, I've been going to Genesee veterinary hospital for over 30 years. Dr. Hylan Heaton is the best vet in Genesee county. I've been to other vets, no comparison.He loves all animals. I've had 5 dogs that he treated. I recommend him to all pet owners.I give him a 10 being the the best.!!!??

We've been taking our animals to Dr. Heaton for 42 years. Dreading the day he will retire. He always knows the problem..almost immediately. We've taken our pets to other, younger vets ...(when he was out of town) who just said..well it could be this, it could be that. Trial and error. Dr. Heaton always knows. I'll take a gruff, bedside manor with excellent knowledge over super friendly along with hundreds of dollars of expensive tests, any day. Do you smile all day and never get irritable? Give the man a break!

This vet was extremely rude and not at all professional. I took my 3 year old British bulldog, Nyla, here for she was having serious dietary problems. The man who assisted Nyla handled her very poorly without proper care, when I intervened he scolded me, saying I had no clue what I was talking about while still holding her down in an awkward position keeping me away from her. At that point I couldn’t believe what I was dealing with, I took Nyla back and left immediately, he told me to never come back and I surely never will. Do not go to this veterinary hospital.

Just a poor human being with no compassion. Put my sister's dog down with out sedating her prior. Also Aimee about putting the dough in the freezer while she was still on the table. Just a bad person for the job in my opinion.

Unfortunately my 14 year old lab become very ill while I was on vacation and my mother (who has cared for my dog when necessary) was unable to get her into her own veterinary office due to it being closed. My mother attempted to reach out to this veterinarian for assistance and was told to take her (my dog) to animal control. This was already a stressful situation and my mother and my dog did not deserve to be treated like that while trying to get assistance for my dog. The vet did not even examine her or try to do anything to assist the situation. I would steer clear of this place
