“I visited on independent bookstore day, and the owner was awesome! So helpful in recommendations and just overall seemed like a cool person! It smelled wonderful and was such a pretty place! Also, the only black owned bookstore in Flint! Go check it out!?”
“Nice items and good prices especially considering it's in the farmer market! I got a nice poster I just framed and it was only $8. Little shop but a lot to pick from. I'll definitely visit again soon.”
“Staff is always friendly and helpful. But their hours are terrible. For a college where so many students are non-traditional and work full time jobs, not being open on Saturdays is problematic especially when trying to get graduation attire. Being forced to choose between taking PTO or having the items shipped removes all the excitement. I suggest that at least for the month of April the store should be open on Saturday's.”
“I love it here! So many (used) books, I left with an entire bag full. They also host poetry nights which are a blast. The atmosphere is eccentric and interesting, while being totally comforting. Staff is always awesome. Can’t wait for my next trip to Totem!”
