My 15 month old Pomeranian, Lucy, has been an established patient at Cahill Vet hospital since she was a new puppy. She has been in serious pain, wincing when touched, barely walking, lethargic & starting to get dehydrated so I brought her in at 9am today. I was treated poorly by every staff member from the minute I walked in the door. I should have left after waiting 2 hours because it was obvious that they forgot about us. The waiting room was cleared 3 times with non emergency patients by the time we were in our 3rd hour. At this point I asked for Lucy to, at least, go in triage for an assessment. They took her back…said her vitals are stable, & brought her back to me…so we wait some more. I ask again to see Dr Butto, only to be lectured by a Tech, in front of the entire waiting room…that “we are a very busy practice, Lucy’s vitals are stable so you’re just going to have to wait…you’re just upset because your dog is sick” I was completely embarrassed & reduced to tears. They finally took Lucy back after another half hour. When I go back, I am lectured again by Dr Butto, as to how “this is a very busy practice”. “And how she understands I am upset because my dog is sick”. No apology whatsoever. I wasn’t upset about my dog, I was upset at how disrespectful every staff member was. Then she tells me that Lucy’s temp is 104. I don’t believe that 104 is a “stable vital sign” for a 20 pound dog….so after the absolute, worst, rushed, visit ever, on an established patient & still not one person asking me to explain my concerns about Lucy, what was going on & what to do...my visit was done. It was pretty obvious that no one took the time to actually read her record of our previous visits. On my way out, after 5-6 hours of nothing but unnecessary stress & tears, I tried to speak up again was & still being treated like my dog & me are not important. I then set Lucy on the floor to pay my bill…she hobbled 2 steps & Adam reaches abruptly & roughly pick her up while lecturing me on the fact that she needs to be on a leash. I was so upset, I told him not to touch my dog, and we left. Unfortunately this practice has become all about pricey holistic services & supplement meds...no longer actual veterinary medicine. Janice at the front desk has been consistently rude for years, but I went back because I thought the the rest of the staff was ok. I have always treated this staff with respect & patience while dealing with "emergencies" during last 5 years so I did not deserve this. Today was not just a bad day for this practice, it is very clear that the daily chaos they operate in will not work forever. Constantly describing your completely disorganized, over booked office as "well we are a very busy practice" is a bunch of crap. People should not be driven to leave this upset.

We recently had our first visit and absolutely love it!
My cat came in as a new patient and I was so thrilled that I didn't have to fill out new patient paperwork. We were seen in a timely manner. The cost was very reasonable. Dr Casanova is very easy to talk with. We will definitely be returning.

Had our cat there and she is an older cat and Dr Butto was great with Rosie. We are so happy we switched vets. The next day we brought in our 6 year old Boston Terrior and Dr. Joshua was great with her. Fantastic clean clinic

Have always loved this vet until recently and now they call and tell me if cancel there is a charge and came to see them about ordering heartworm meds through chewy and deny till pet seen?? Really whenever I show they are behind but I do not complain but will deny and charge and refuse meds till visit? Cahill has gotten way to big and more about the dollar than the pets now in my opinion......

I just moved to the area last year, and tried out the closest vet and was not pleased. So I found Cahill and gave them a shot for my senior pup and I was so pleased. The vet and the vet techs were all so nice and patient. They went over all options for my girl and didn't try to push me one way or another they helped me make an informed decision and they were so sweet to my very loud old girl. The prices were also way better than the other place I had taken my girl. This is definitely the place to bring your fur babies.

Dr. Shoup is amazing. He takes time with you to address all your concerns and will work with you to be the most budget friendly options but not compromise on care. All the rest of the staff have been great and kind to work with too.

Good quality care, and the doctor has called me twice for follow ups after the visit. The only downside so far has been the length of visits. More than an hour on my last visit - I assume there were other higher priority visits taking place, so I’m not going to hold that against the staff too much.
