This is absolutely the best service I have ever got for my dog, such an amazing staff very friendly. Dr. Miskena took extra care of my dog as if it was his very own. I am very happy with the service he provides and so does my dog. My dog is healthier than he has ever been since I’ve been coming here. Thank you again Dr. Miskena.

Dr. John is consistently available and approachable. His practice goes above and beyond to ensure that not only is our pet taken care of, but we are put at ease as well. More than once, Dr. John has volunteered to come to our home and speak with us well after office hours. We highly recommend Dr. John and the West Woodward Animal Clinic to everyone

Great place to take your pet. The outside is out dated, but the vet seems confident and experienced. He was able to diagnose FIC in my cat efficiently without me needing to come back for more expensive visits and testing.

I went to this clinic for my cat shortly after she was born. My cat had a broken claw and WWAH performed surgery that, to this day, I never received any information on. I don't know what exactly happened during this procedure but ever since, the same claw site continues to get infected. I also was not given proper aftercare instructions and as a first-time cat owner, I didn't have any experience with any of this and should have been briefed the whole time. Thankfully my current vet is taking care of the issue and my kitty is okay.
When she got spayed, her incision site also got infected, so this clinic is 0/2 in my experience in terms of surgical aftercare.
Dr. John was a fantastic vet and was not the one who performed the procedure. I would have loved to continue seeing him but I do not trust the surgery staff and can't stand the thought of my cat suffering more infections.

I can’t say enough positive things about this clinic. We were so lucky to find them when we first moved to Ferndale and had two elderly dogs with completely different health issues. They are always so thorough with exams and will take the time to answer questions. Dr. John helped my oldest dog with dementia add many happy, positive months to his life and went above and beyond for my other dog’s constant health complications. They also now see our other two dogs and we couldn’t be happier. It’s clear Dr. John and Dr. Rachel put the well-being of the animals first and I really appreciate their care for them. We have and will continue to recommend them to all of our friends!

Dr. Miskena is truly the best. I have been with West Woodward Animal Hospital for a few years now(for my two cats that he has seen since they were a few weeks old) and i recently have been fostering a kitten who is only a few weeks old and well and last night in the middle of the night she needed to be seen right away, and in the middle of the night Dr. Miskena met me at the clinic and took care of my new little baby and has been in touch trough out the day to check in and see how she is doing and giving support. Not only are the doctors here knowledgeable and kind, but they are generous and affordable and thoughtful as well! the whole staff here is amazing. they make sure you know what’s going on, what your options are, and can work with you to come up with a care plan for you pet. i cannot recommend Dr. Miskena & the rest of West Woodward Animal Hospital enough!!

Dr. Miskena and his team are amazing. Dr. Miskena always goes above and beyond for my pets and you can tell he truly cares about your pets well being. He is the best vet I have ever been too and will never take my pets anywhere else. He has done so much for both my dog and cat and I can’t thank him enough for that. Highly recommend!

We had an issue with our pup after business hours but when I called and spoke to the vet on call (Dr. John) to explain what happened and within 20 minutes he came out to our house to make sure everything was fine and put us at ease.
