terrible, the owner and his brother refused all of my Amazon returns today because they are either anti-gay or racist. just some angry people who make every effort to lie to try and force purchases of extra boxes or tape. We had words, and we agreed I would not come back to this location. im still emotional about the experience and will probably sue them. I hear Royal Oak is a better place that threats its customers with respect.

young lady was friendly when I walked in. she was helping me at first but then a different employee came to help. told me I did not have enough tape on the box of boots I was returning to Amazon. I asked to use some which he replied I could buy some. I took the package home and retaped only to return and have them tell me it should be in another box so the boots don't get stolen during transport back to Amazon. I guess they feel the UPS drivers or Amazon employees are thieves. either way you have lost my business for Pennie's worth of tape.

This store is scam, they charged me 19$ for empty box for my package without evening explain the reason and after I paid I requested to take my package back and refund my money. Gordon the guy who works there he is so rude and liar, he keep saying that he explained to me for the $19 empty package cost but if the owner check the cameras he would see he did not explain nothing and he start lying saying the truck came and picked up my package, I said WHAT!!! right now the truck came and picked it up!!! Please dont lie to me I just went to my car and came back for my packageHe called the manager and the manager called the police on me bc I asked to refund my money back and take my package!!!The owner came not to fix the problem but to argue and saying that he don’t care for filing a claim against his store and told me to call my bank to dispute the charge, WTHThis is a shame for UPS company having a service and store like thatI will file a claim asap with UPS against you guys since you guys are scam. Thieves and liarsDont reply to my review as “ oh we are sorry for the negative experience…blah blah blah” same as the rest of your replies , better to do a good service instead of replying back to the customer experience as its their faultUPDATE:Dont lie and say he went back to get money, he paid using his own card, dont make things up just because you trying to save your self or your store, and you think mentioning where I work or my coworker works will scare me?You did a bad service as you did with the rest of the other bad reviews you have and you deserve itWhen your employees be professional and knowledgeable of what they are doing then you will get respected, your employee called you to fix the issue not to escalate as you know how to run a business. Your employee was rude and mean and he never explained why the charge is, dont tell me to read amazon instructions, you have a store and hired employees to do their jobs..

UPDATED REVIEW:I was just going to leave a simple review with no need to bash the store, but based on the stores reply I have this to say: This place is greedy and will try to scam you out of every penny they can. They will try to charge you for all kinds of unnecessary stuff that the Royal Oak store laughs at when you tell them about it.The owner of the store called me five minutes after my negative review and spent 15 minutes arguing with me trying to gaslight me that I am the problem. He literally told me he wasn’t trying to change my review but he was just calling to tell me that my review was “not accurate”. Then he posts a reply to my review acting like I just didn’t know how to ship my packages and that’s why he tried to scam me. unfortunately, I am forced to use this location one to three times a week and I see people getting turned away all the time for refusing to pay the scam deals from this place.All you have to do is read the content of the dozens of negative reviews for this place and you will see a very consistent pattern and then you will see a very insistent store owner claiming it’s ALWAYS the customer at fault and he’s somehow never the problem.BESCHO (store owner) IM TALKING DIRECTLY TO YOU HERE: you should’ve just let this go at a plain one star review or tried to actually correct the situation instead of trying to gaslight and make it look like I’m the problem. Everyone on Google can read that every single one of your negative reviews is for the same exact stuff and every time you try to comment and act innocent like you had nothing to do with it. Just listen to all of your customers complaining and maybe change something about the way your store works instead of trying to scam everyone out of more money. This negative review update is a direct result of your actions. If you would have just left it as a bad situation and not made it worse it would’ve been just the plain one star review that I left originally. Now it’s personal and it’s your fault it escalated.This guy will try to scam you and tell you that he can’t ship a package in a “product branded box” it must be in a blank shipping box or the receiving company will charge him $100!!! Then he tries to repeatedly say my box was failing and that’s the issue but my box was literally brand spanking new with no issues. He also tried to tell me my Amazon return wasn’t acceptable in the same exact package Amazon shipped it to me and I would need to buy another box for seven dollars!Give me a break dude your story is a scam and your policies are the problem, not Amazon‘s policies or UPS policies. It’s your store that’s the problem. The Royal Oak store will verify that the Ferndale store is a scam. The Royal Oak store literally says things like “don’t they have tape in Ferndale?” when talking about the Ferndale store.So infuriating to have the business owner come behind me on a negative review and just flat out lie to try to make himself look better. Do not believe anything he says in his response.ORIGINAL REVIEW:The one star says enough.I usually just smile and nod and try to be as polite as I can.That doesn’t mean I’m not going to speak up and say no that wasn’t right.

This is the worst UPS store to go to. As I stood in line with my two Amazon returns and an international package to send. I saw customer after customer have bad experiences with the customer service. They act like they work for Amazon. Telling customers they need to supply their own boxes and tape. I saw them refuse someone Amazon return because the box, "was too big." I stood there for awhile they figured out how to send a package to Canada. I repeatly told them that this was for a business and they insisted on putting my personal address on the package. Stating that business needs to have a UPS account to mail a package with the business address. I never heard something so ridiculous. I have never had a positive experience there which is a shame since it's very close to my home. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

I cannot praise the UPS store in Ferndale, Michigan on Woodward enough! They've consistently gone above and beyond to meet my needs, always with a warm smile. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, and they've taught me so much about printing that I didn't know before. And they are seriously SO FAST!Not only are they affordable, but they make sure I leave with the best customer care and satisfaction. The manager, especially, is a standout, and there's a remarkable woman whose name I regrettably misplaced – It starts with an N maybe Nie-something? She's a true gem and deserves all the recognition in the world and a raise! Not kidding corporate - invest in these employees because I won’t go anywhere else but this location for any printing or shipping needs period. So Thank you Woodward UPS for everything.

UPS in Ferndale! This store is by far that I visited to most UPS and plus they’re open 7days a week! The staff were very friendly and accommodating with my returns. Besho, was helpful with my packaging and printing the labels. I will definitely come back to this store.

Mat, the review is delayed, but here you go!Thank you for your patience and direction. You are a jewel as is the manager/operator. I typically go to FedEx, but my last two visits here were great! It’s important that all information be communicated to customers in order for them to make an informed decision rather to, and how to, expedite. Thanks for making it clear.On another note, there is a young lady who I do not have a pleasant experience w/either time I came, but I am soooo glad I did not allow her unpleasantry to cause me to leave. I just waited on the next available CSR. Sometimes it’s not about leaving when you encounter someone who does not deliver, just wait on the one who does!Thanks Max

Took in some artwork belonging to my late mother to ship to her mom, my grandmother.I received a text message from my grandma saying “it was very well packed. You should let whoever did the packing know they did a great job.”Alas, here is my review.The artwork arrived on time and was shipped with care.You can see how hard everyone is working in this store and despite the heavy volume, they were kind, present and friendly.Thank you for the lovely experience, UPS of Ferndale!

I have been coming to this store since it opened a few years ago and have always had a good experience...that is untill now. The person behind the counter was extreamly rude and wanted to charge me when I asked to use the tape to close up my package. This has never happened any time I've ever been there. Normally I would.ask to use the tape and that would be it. Now I understand everyone is suffering hard times, but I just wanted to use tape...I was there a few days earlier and hand no issues. I know this is a small deal but the fact that this coworker started to argue with me about it is what made this experiance so awful.

Was coming to this location for a very long time, however this last visit has caused me to choose a different location for further service. In general poor customer service. For the record I had a box for my return that was in great condition and they refused to take my package because it was in a box. Even offered to tape.

Definitely avoid for Amazon returns. I was first told I needed to buy a box which is not something I have experienced before when returning. I asked to use tape and was suggested I should buy a $4.99 roll. All this hassle for a supposedly free Amazon return. I would definitely avoid in the future, I’ve had positive experiences at the Royal Oak and Troy UPS stores for what it’s worth.

Made an appointment for notary service online. Showed up for the service at my appointment time when the store was pretty busy and employees were less than accommodating. Waited in line just to be told to wait longer. While I understand there was a situation with another customer before me, employees should have practiced better customer service and swapped roles in order to meet an appointment. One employee was the only notary.***Response to owner: I noticed that you are commenting on a lot of reviews. Taking accountability instead of gaslighting the customers that share their negative experiences might bring them back to try your location again. Hard pass for me though. I’ll take the recommendations of using another location instead now.
