We moved from NYC to Detroit about five years ago, bringing our now oldest pup Bruce, who had lived with us in NYC for roughly 10 years. We brought a range of experiences with us to Detroit: walkers, play groups, groomers, and vets. So, we had our needs and wishes, experiences good and bad, and we know the real deal when we see it. It took us a few false starts with other places for play, stay/boarding and even grooming to find our way to Puppy Love. It's likely the best referral of my life. Leslie, Stacey and the team there are deeply devoted dog lovers with a core base of knowledge, experience, intuition and expertise that they bring to bear. They have established a large, well equipped, cozy, warm, soothing place -- and focus continually on dogs' interactions, play and socialization, while providing options (both stay, play and sleepover) for dogs of all personality types and ages, those who like to be alone, with humans or with the pack. Later, we introduced our new and second dog Cookie to the mix. She also thrived there. Even more later, we worked with Leslie to re-home a third dog, our little Rosalita, who we essentially adopted. Yes, we have three dogs, and we consider Puppy Love family, as they do us. Cookie and Rosalita play there M, W and Friday and all three dogs groom with Puppy Love. We do long-term boarding often. We've introduced probably 6 friends and their dogs to Puppy Love -- 99% have had a great experience. You may hear periodically of folks where it has not been a fit. Something, Leslie is always happy to address through a mutual exchange of feedback. She and her team know all too well what the other options available in the area are like. Puppy Love is a wonderful combination of romping, safe play space, cozy quarters, naturally lit, staffed by people who love, know and understand dogs -- always ready to help and incorporate feedback. We expect to work with them for as long as we have fur babies in our family. Which, well, will be forever.

This is THE place for your dog to be when not with you unlike the other local place which is like a dog pound. These people actually care about dogs and know canine nature. I can't say enough good things about Puppy Love. You'll feel the joy when you walk in the door.

I was so anxious about boarding my little one for the first time, and I'm so glad I chose puppy love to do it! She looked like she had a GREAT time and I heard nothing but good things from the staff about her stay. They're definitely dog people, and know how to help a shy dog come out of their shell!

Took my dog here for a simple face and Fanny cut and the staff took it upon themselves to cut all of my dog hair off! Then had the nerve to charge me $70 in fees because they said he was difficult to deal with. I put it in the notes and no one contacted me. The owner KAREN threatened to call the cops on me because I didn't agree with the actions that were taken without permission and the chargers that were acquired. I will never step foot or spend a penny with that evil lady or business. Negative stars and ten thumbs down.

Scheduled a groom for my mini schnauzer and we were told drop off was at 8am. They held my dog until 330. We called asking what's taking so long at 2pm and was told they would call when it was done. Upon pick up it's was $30 more than normal. I called the next day and was told that $30 was for day care and that the groomer doesn't come in until 10 or 11 am. I asked if that was the case why were we told to drop him off at 8am and was told they never said that and we dropped him off at 8am on our own. They pulled a scam and then lied to my face. They can keep the $30 they obviously need it more than I do but will never see my dog again. The groom job was great but their business practices are criminal.

Thankful for the Puppy Love Team! Our little guy did not do well at the other larger known daycares due to his isolation and confinement distress. They actually listened to me and our dog’s needs. They truly care about him, and he enjoys himself there whether he wants to sleep or follow the pack. It’s so heartwarming that they’re his little fan club and excited to see him when he comes in. Their kenneless boarding is the best option for our dog who cannot be confined, and he always comes home relaxed - not frantic and reverting out of training like he did with independent sitters and larger daycares. They were crucial in his successful separation anxiety training especially in the beginning, and one of the reasons we now have a healthy amount of hours he can be alone at home. When it’s too long or we are in a bind for an overnight or weekend sitter, we can trust Puppy Love - and that means so much in those situations. The dogs get so much socialization and have fun with each other. Their personal touches throughout the building and kennels are so cute and shows a lot about how much they care about their clients and the dogs they watch, board and groom. I definitely recommend Puppy Love!

Leslie and the whole team at Puppy Love are the best! They were always kind and patient with our slightly nervous dog, Denali. The daycare is totally worth it and we knew when we boarded our dog there that she was in a place she was familiar with and where people cared for her. So sad that we moved out of state. Highly recommend!

We specifically go out of our way (we live in the Ann Arbor area) to continue to take our dog Thor to Puppy Love! He only goes to daycare a few times a year, but we so appreciate the love & care they provide our anxious pup with! We especially love that someone is there overnight with him so he doesn’t have to sleep in a cage. Thank you Puppy Love!

Whatever they are doing they are doing it right! My dog Bogie is afraid of everything and everyone but he sure is so excited as soon as we pull in the parking lot. He can’t wait to go to “school”. Very different experience from our other daycare where he would hide on the floor and shake when we pulled up. He is not out in a cage through the day. This doesn’t feel like a business but a place to take my baby where he is loved.

Today I called for a walk in nail trim for my English bulldog. My dog is not particularly fond of other dogs but the staff was so helpful by clearing a path so she was comfortable and could walk back with them to get her nails trimmed. They were so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend them!!

Puppy Love is my two dogs favorite place in the world. They get so excited going & playing with all the other dogs & staff! Everyone who works there truly has a love & passion for animals, if you’re looking for a daycare you can trust this is the place. The owner Leslie is so friendly and knowledgeable, she has turned my dogs health around with her food & supplement suggestions & I am so grateful! Due to Puppy Love my dogs are happier & healthier than ever! I highly recommend Puppy Love to everyone!!
