We normally use to get the beef from this place to support local businesses but they are ABUSIVE with the prices! 60 bucks per fillet mignon pound it is crazy! The beef is not even 100%grass feeded.

I am giving a 2 star review in hopes that my FROZEN $169.00 Turkey tastes yummy. We have been ordering turkey’s from FFT for the last several years and they have not been frozen, but fresh. It was pretty surprising to have a frozen Turkey show up on the doorstep! The order form said fresh.This place should be called FARM FIELD FROZEN. I think of how many frozen turkey’s I could have bought from Kroger!FYI there is a great Turkey farm in Livonia called Roberti’s that raises the birds and they are fresh not frozen.

I was wary of everything about them when i asked why steak with a bone was more expensive per pound than without a bone ( for obvious reasons it is supposed to be the other way around) and the answer was very strange. I have a culinary arts degree so i know a little about this ( i didnt tell them that) the answer was a concocted lie for reasons i will never understand. So if you lie to me about something so trivial, then i cant trust anything you sell.

I ordered a $100 gift card as a gift online. I received the confirmation, etc. but no gift card. When I called, emailed (twice), filled out the contact form on their website (twice) I didn't hear back. I finally got a hold of someone on the phone and she said she couldn't find my order and wasn't sure what to do. Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend going here. I am still hoping to hear back or I will dispute the charge with my credit card company.

Really high-quality meat, but awful customer service. I called about a month ago to place a special order. I called again a couple weeks later to confirm they would have it. They confirmed. Then when I went to pick it up today, they didn't have it and didn't attempt to work with me at all for a replacement.

The meat is DIVINE and it's local. They people are wonderful and go above and beyond to deliver the best customer service. We have the Butcher Share subscription and it's all our family needs or could want. We've learned a lot about cuts of meat and how to do them justice from their educational blog posts. Highly recommended!!!

Ordered a subscription bundle 6 weeks ago with multiple promised shipping dates and still have not received anything. Good thing I had delayed the subscription for 8 weeks, I'd be waiting on 2 now. I would be hesitant about using the walk-in service if they take care of the food like they do their customers. Have tried to call several times with no luck. Tried to leave yet another message but the mailbox is full.

Convenient location. Free parking. Delicious food. More of a take-out place but has plenty of seating. We had soup and it was delicious and filling. We also grabbed a few things to take back to our room for dinner and were equally happy. We will go back when we visit Traverse City again.

Favorite place! Can't eat a steak elsewhere after eating such a high quality product from them. They also explained to me where each peice of meat comes from on the animal, best ways to cook it etc. Love this place.

What a delightful find. Fresh ingredients, nice service and a brilliant yard bar. A+ environment and just outside the hustle and bustle of Traverse City. Also superior house made beer and wine.

This review is based solely on customer service and not their meat products. I have had issues logging into my account for quite some time for my subscription. Emails went unanswered for a while, then finally responded to by Abby. She was apologetic and tried to help me. However, I was then ghosted again after a few emails back and forth.I have now sent 4 emails that have gone unanswered trying to cancel my subscription. This lack of service is absolutely ridiculous. I am at the point where I'm ready to dispute the charges on my card.It's unfortunate because their meat has always been pretty good (except a recent pork chop that was 90% fat, had to be thrown away). I want to continue to support local, but this business is making it extremely hard to do so with their lack of service.I will gladly update this review if I can get some resolution to my ongoing issue.UPDATE - I have upped my star rating to a 3 as I heard back from customer service today. They refunded my subscription delivery but are still sending the delivery as a show of good faith. I appreciate Abby taking care of this issue for me. I will continue to order from them as needed as their meat quality is well worth the price.
