The salon environment was the only good part of my experience. The highlights and cut were very imbalanced and sadly one of the worst I’ve had. I sent an email to see if it could be fixed by someone other than the stylist I saw… 3 weeks have passed without a response. I’m currently sitting in another salon getting it re-done. I chose a level 1stylist but still expected to have a professional looking cut and highlight.

I asked for layers in the back and it looked all the same length. Layers should make my hair look more like a V shape, not a straight line. My hair was touching my butt prior to walking in, and I asked for 1-2 inches off, it looks like more was cut off. Also, the blowout does not look like a blowout. It is curly in a weird way and it is neither sleek nor straight. I have gotten blowouts at multiple salons, and never was I left with this product. My hair is very frizzy as well. I looked better walking in. I am not returning. The pictures are my BEFORE and AFTER. The first photo is from my birthday, and I had gotten my hair styled by Salon Kristen in Shelby Township. That is how a blowout should look. The picture on the right is me right now with my sweats on and my “new” look. How can someone let their clients walk out like this?

Hello Billy, my name in the system is Stavrola Danyal. My email is signed up and everything. Also, my sister was the one who created the appointment. Her name is Delaine Danyal. My appointment was with Katie, the level one stylist, and I had booked a wash, cut, and style. I asked her specifically for layers in the back and for my hair to be styled as a blowout. She left me with those results to walk out of your salon. In addition, she did not give me layers in the back of my hair because I had layers to begin, and with she only made my hair the same length in the back. My hair used to be a V-shape in the back, but now it is not. I called your salon and left my name and number several moments ago. If you could reach out to me, then that would be great. I did not know to reach out to you because I only had left a review. I also sent an email regarding this incident after my appointment. I was also not a “promotional client for a cut only” because I told Katie to give me a blowout and I would pay the extra fee! I did not feel confident leaving and I did not know how to contact you because I could not find out who owned this salon.
Requested style: I requested a blowout, cut, and wash.
Stylist: Katie was my stylist and she did not meet my expectations.

Their “Level One” stylist (Katie) cut my hair unevenly, took too many inches off, and left me with a frizzy blowout. Never returning. Their level ones are beginners, you can tell by how they touch the hair as if they’ve never worked with hair in their lives. Ridiculous. Never returning.

They have such an amazing staff at Dye chuck helped May calm down after Jay Douglas missed my hair up. He reassured me that it was fixable. chuch booked me an appointment with Landan which he was phenomenal. He landed the color that I initially wanted when I first went to the other salon the staff at Dye was so helpful because I came in there the first day a train wreck, crying couldn't stop because the other salon Jay Douglas told me my hair was unfixable And was really rude. But the proof is in the pudding so here's a picture of my amazing hair.

As soon as I walked in the vibe was chill and relaxed, I met my stylist Alaya who was a doll!! So sweet and made sure to communicate what was going on and kept me in the loop, verry personable and did an amazing job with my hair such a difference, loved my experience the pricing was great, make sure to ask for Alaya, going back to have her color it... eventually, maybe, we'll see.

I had a great experience here at the Dye Hair Salon. I will admit that I was a stubborn client but Star was able to work with me and the other stylists there were such good energy I got to listen to Christmas music and a little karaoke. I felt like I was able to relax and be myself and after the second session I’m so happy with how my hair turned out! Attached is the first and second results as well as my hair color before! Come check this place out you will not regret it!!!
