Kara is amazing and this is long overdue. The first time in a long time I went to a salon I was lucky enough to be put on her client list and I have never regretted it. Whether it was a fun cut or a serious affair she always took care of me and when the time came for me to shave it all off, taking myself off her list until my health returns, she didn't miss a beat. She was supportive and caring and made sure we had a discussion about how I would treat my hair after and encourage its regrowth. No half measures or empty platitudes here, just realistic expectations, brainstorming galore, and some dark humor thrown in for flavor. The whole appointment was somehow made magical for me and my sister and they made sure to schedule according to what we needed when I explained the whole situation. When I finally got home and cried there were also happy tears that I wish I could have shared with her so she'd know how wonderful she made it for me. She has a open client slot for now you lucky ducks, better run for it.

My first cut in almost three years and sooo worth it. Kara was amazing and really took her time to make sure she didn’t use certain chemicals on my head cuz I’m allergic to some. It was a big chop and she make me feel so comfortable and confident in her and myself. Definitely telling everyone to go see her from now on ! Thank you Kara !

I came to AHC for help during dark times. The stylist I was scheduled with was not confident and actually blocked me after the initial appointment. Just before I left, the owner walked up to the station I was sitting at and laughed in my face at the end result. I don’t know why I ever went back there, but I did.
Sometime later, I got an appointment with the other owner. My first experience with her was great. I was happy with my extensions and the color. A few months later, she said it was time to get new extensions and I was told I was investing in Bellami human Remy hair wefts. Very expensive, multiple packs of hair needed. But something wasn’t right from the day they were installed. The dye didn’t take to the hair and the texture was terrible. At my move up appointment, I expressed these concerns to the assistant who was prepping my hair before my appointment. The assistant told me she was sure the hair in my head was not Bellami…and something wasn’t right. She confronted both the owners and they agreed to comp the services and reorder new hair. They were totally ticked and didn’t want to do my reinstall so they assigned the assistant do my reinstall. This was fine by me. She stood up for me and the matter of principle. And she did a great job. Soon after, the assistant left AHC so I followed her, and I still see her every 6 weeks!
The owner continues to hold her feelings over morality online. It’s a reminder of previous experiences. Which really doesn’t make me want to continue purchasing products from there, no matter how good the AHC brand dry conditioner is.

Always have such an amazing experience at AHC! All the stylists are amazing and I’m always treated so well. I have never had a time where I left the salon and didn’t love what was done with my hair (thanks Elyse xoxox - ps go see her). Pricing is fair, policies are fair and reasonable. Will never go anywhere else!

I’ve been coming to this salon for a while. I’m guessing 7-8 years now. I’ve seen a few stylists in between but mainly worked with Christina known as Ginger. Ginger learned my hair and learned what I like and I always left happy. It is pricey to get your hair done with a stylist on her level but I always loved my hair so kept going. Anywho, yesterday I had a missed appointment due to personal reasons and called the salon as soon as I realized I was about to miss my appointment. The receptionist said she would return my call “if” a fee for a “no show” would need to be charged. I never did receive a call back but instantly received a text stating Christina was charging me a $225 fee for a no show. Although I called, it was not within 48 hrs. I’ve never seen this policy or needed to see it as I’ve never been a no show in the 7-8 years of service I’ve given her and the salon. I also referred my friend to her last week and she was charged $400+ a 20% tip. I think I’ve been extremely good to my stylist and felt that she chose to give me that no show fee when reading the current policy it states there “may” be a fee. So it’s up to the stylist. Seeing that money trumps long time clients, I no longer feel comfortable returning and the rudeness that was given from the receptionist when calling to talk about the situation also turned me off. I won’t be returning or referring anyone here ever again. I will be saving hundreds of dollars and 50 min of drive time to and from by switching to another salon. So it worked out for the best! I can also only imagine the amount of gossip that went on after the calling the salon back. That’s just the way those girls roll. Very stuck up attitudes. If you’re older than 25 and want a relaxing/ mature salon to attend, this is not your place.

My stylist Was Kara she was extremely professional and kept me informed throughout the entirety of the service, made me feel very comfortable. She really delivered exactly what I was looking for! 10/10 recommend.

Great stylists, super knowledgeable and approachable. Hunter is great! They also have really great products, reasonably priced. I’m a big fan of Mannequin styling cream. I’ve been coming here for several years, and I still love it.

Go here! The people that work here really make this place special. Of course your hair will look amazing, but aside from that, Haley, zoe, Tess and Beth made me feel so welcome and like I was among friends. I really recommend if you want a place with no judgement that will make you feel at home and beautiful when they’re done with you

it’s been a little more than a week since I got my hair done with Ashley and I LOVE IT. I cannot say enough how happy I am with it.
