I bought a used car from this dealership about a year ago. I’ve had no issues and the car has run perfect for the past 8,000 miles. Dale Rife (used car salesman) was a great help and a perfect person to buy your car from. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a car.

Caroline and Mark are so personable, easy to work with and great people. We started looking at Feldman in Novi and had a terrible experience, after a recommendation from a colleague we drove up to Vic Canever, saw a Trax and put our deposit down within 10 minutes because we liked it so much. Thanks to the team there, there was no selling is on a car, we saw it, liked it, bought it and knew we had a great team to help us finance it.

Steve in body was great. Took 6 weeks to get my vehicle back. Prior to getting my vehicle back I asked for an alignment done. Had the vehicle back 24 hrs and took it back because an alignment was not done. Dan said one was done however there is a problem with software? So my thought process is that a test drive should have been done. So I left my vehicle again….that was yesterday. I expect that I will be 100% reimbursed for the alignment that I already paid for.

I have given this dealership many chances and I would have to say every time the still disappointed . I have been leasing Chevrolet and GMC vehicles for many years. I live in Linden so the nearest Chevrolet dealer is in Fenton. I shop local and use local maintenance.but will never use them the worst experiences i have ever had at a car dealership. And my friends and family also will not.

I took my car in for general recall work. After initial inspection, I was given the option to approve or deny a part installation for over $6500 that should’ve been covered by the recall. I denied the part and installation. After not hearing ANYTHING from them, I went to pick up my car and was informed that not only did they not do the recall work, it was sitting in the parking lot for days with no communication to me. I was also informed my car would “break in half” soon due to an over abundance of rust on the frame. Once I brought to their attention that they were trying to charge me over $6500 for something that should’ve been included in the recall, turns out they were able to do the recall free of charge! It was very evident to me they were not only trying to up-sell me on recall work by trying to charge me for it, but also trying to push us into purchasing a new car because ours “will break in half soon.” Luckily, I went for a second opinion to a local shop after losing all trust in this greedy and unethical dealership and was informed my car is “no where near going to break in half” and I should “get quite a few more years out of it.” I would NOT recommend ANYONE purchase a car OR service your car at Vic Canever. They tried to take advantage of us in both departments (service work and pressure to purchase a new car) when we were there simply for no cost recall work!

The people I worked with both in service and in detailing were great. The work that was done seem to be done well as far as I can tell. My experience in the waiting room was a different story. There is a lady that sits in a glass box right next to the waiting room. Multiple times she was treating employees very rude. One time she was on the phone and I can hear her dropping f-bombs on the phone. As far as my bill I knew what the price was going in and everything seemed okay but there was a $60 shop fee on there but I didn't understand. There was already an environmental fee parts and labor but what the heck was this 60 dollar shop fee? A rag some solvent and scraping a gasket? That seems a little outlandish. I noticed a lot of sales people walking around and joking with each other and really no customers but I figure they work on commission. It was just a bad look. Like I said the people I dealt with were great in the work was great just the 3 hours which was expected in the waiting room displayed a lack of professionalism and concern for the customer.

Worst experience ever. Not Canever it’s can never. Called and talk to the sales lady multiple times for multiple days. Told her was interested in a truck the have. Told her multiple times I need a diesel that we only buy diesels. She said it was a diesel. We put a deposit down. My business partner flew to the closest airport. Spent over 3 hours there after they took all the info on the phone to do all the paperwork. Never gave him a walk around, a test drive or anything. Come to find out the truck was not diesel. The truck has 225 miles on it. They will not do anything to make it right. Offered to trailer the truck back. Sales manager says bring it back. So we loaded it and headed out. After an hour of driving there he called back and said we cannot take it back. Offered to bring it back and swap it for a diesel and pay the difference and still nothing. Would not recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a one ton 3500 4x4 high country from Vic Canever on 9/11. I found a truck on line at vic canever.( I will tell you, please purchase elsewhere, unless you want to experience a three hour man handling of a salesman a Gm and a finance officer. all three are the epitome or a Car salesman !!!! Old school, wham bam w/out a thank you mam ) . I drove a brand new truck 200 miles and figured out that it wasn't what I thought I was buying. I told three different manager I needed a diesel for the workload, not one of them corrected me as I was talking about my purchase. The finance manager got up and left the room to go chat with the GM and came back and they sent me down the road , I called to go back and pick up a diesel or get on the waiting list to own a High country diesel .I was in a gas engine and not a diesel. No window sticker in the truck or on the window.No walk aroundNo demo rideNobody went over the options and new buttons on the vehicleNobody mentioned anything other than hurry up and wait for the office, business manager,Not enough time to get all the shister details out. But if I don't get a call back from the owner Jeff Canever, I will post this in full detail.

Previously left a 5-star review but updating it.I got my oil change as I have been doing at Vic Canever for 9+ years. My vehicle is leased from a different dealership but I still bring it here because it's closer to home. I'm a little annoyed because I had a license plate cover from the other dealership on my vehicle, and you guys decided to take it off and replace it with a Vic Canever plate cover. I actually liked the other one because it had a nice chrome metal look, compared to your plain black one. I know this sounds stupid and not a big deal but it was just unnecessary to do that without asking or telling me. I was there for an oil change, there's no reason to be messing with the license plate.The last oil change I had before this one, I was asked if I wanted to do a recall fix. I said I was in a hurry so I didn't want to do it that day. Then I sit in the waiting room for 1.5-2 hours wondering what's going on since I was told 45 minutes. Finally they tell me sorry, we told them not to do the recall but they did it anyways. That was annoying.Also, I have leased 3 vehicles from you in the past. Last year I asked a salesperson if I could get out my lease a little early and upgrade to something bigger. They said no, it was too early. So I went to another Chevy dealer and they said yes absolutely we can do that for you. So of course I went with them instead.My whole family has been going to Vic Canever my whole life and always had good experiences so I hate to say bad things, but I haven't been a happy customer lately.

Billie Jo is a firecracker of a saleswoman. Unlike other dealerships we visited, she worked hard to make us happy, and was on top of everything from the start. Having spoken to her that morning to check if they had a vehicle for us, we decided to go and check it out. When we arrived at Vic Canever, she already had paperwork ready for the car we were interested in. Billie Jo walked us through everything with professionalism and efficiency. While we went to lunch, she prepared the vehicle and our lease paperwork, texting us with progress updates. When we returned she was ready to go and we drove the car home that afternoon. Without a doubt, this was the best experience we’ve ever had at a dealership. We will definitely be back, and recommend Vic Canever to friends and family.

Mark Crane was amazing and was able to help me get into a new vehicle within my budget. He was very patient with me and was always available to answer any questions I had. ( I had a lot of them!) Michael Prieur, was the one who helped me find a car when it was last minute! And thankfully he gave me an amazing car with a few dents but runs amazing. It’s a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox and it runs so well. It’s also good on gas! Thank you so much Michael for helping me!
