Beautiful local art and Root Cafe next door is my favorite restaurant in Fennville. Dawn is wonderful in her art creations as well as food creations. I highly recommend to get a latte in one of her beautiful handmade mugs and order some fabulous food. While waiting and sipping, look through the art and buy something with confidence knowing that it is one of a kind and that you are helping locals ❤️

The pottery and art are interesting and worth the stop but we would not eat there again. The food is very overpriced for what you get and for breakfast they don't even have free refills on coffee. Paid $50 for a ok breakfast. Disappointed

One of our favorite go-tos for breakfast. The food is healthy, beautifully presented, and delicious! The dinner menu is fantastic as well. Wonderful atmosphere. AND we never walk out without an object d'art. A great experience!

This is a place well worth stopping in. My review is a bit late, but better late than never? It must be 3 years ago or so since we were up around this area of Michigan. Fennville was our favorite town, partly because of Fernwood 1891. We just stopped in for coffee and a small breakfast before hitting the road home. The coffee is really good here and the space is really chill and cool. A few other folks were about, reading, having coffee and pastries, etc. As we had coffee, we both wandered into the art gallery in the adjoining (large) room and we both wound up buying a couple of her cute handmade coffee mugs. They have work by loads of local artists here, so stop in and support local creative people and get cranked on some pretty great coffee!
