I had a very negative experience here! It was decent to begin- though they are very slow to repairs. Along with this- they are not very compassionate or understanding of your situation. My ex and I broke up about five days before the 60 day lease notice. We were planning on staying- however; obviously, that made it impossible, so I reached out to them immediately.
Now in such cases, I think compassion is warranted- and we had been timely tenants, paying online on time every month. We were courteous, clean, and tried our best to respect the property.
However; when it came time to letting them know as soon as possible our situation, explaining that we will not be renewing the lease, they immediately let us know that we were going to be charged pro-rate for those extra five days (It came up to like 300 dollars or something). This is understandable, I get it. You know, I think its not very compassionate, and I've been in apartment communities that do that however, but, you know, its big business trying to ink out extra money. Its justifiable why I rate lower, but nonetheless, still understandable.
The reason why I lower this rating from 2 to 1 star though, which I don't find acceptable at all, and it is hypercritical, is that they HAVEN'T EVEN LOOKED AT THE PROPERTY YET! I know this for a fact because I just called the office to ask the status of our deposit (Which by law has to be sent in 30 days after the lease is up) and was informed they have no information on it.
I look it at it like this way- my ex and I were out of the apartment by July 7th- we finished cleaning and turned in our keys DAYS before our lease was up. We paid an extra five days, when more compassionate staff and companies would be acceptable and not charge that, but then you haven't even looked at the place yet? Is it even listed?
Its incompetent, lazy, and disheartening that the company has so little care, and so much greed that they can't even let us move past this. I have lived in similar apartments owned by this company, and it was just as awful. I do not recommend this place- it is not worth it, the people working there and the company itself do not care, and its honestly hurtful. I really try to do the right thing and try to be a forthcoming tenant. I pay on time, I clean up after myself. When we leave the apartment, we leave it as clean as we can possibly get. But I feel like this company takes advantage of it, and doesn't care about the people that live in it.
Do I recommend? Honestly, no. I had a review up previously after the first issues cropped up, however; now in hindsight, I just want to encourage people that you will get screwed if you live here. And even if not, the people in the company that own this place do not care for you. They see you only as someone to upsell to, and Its exhausting, disheartening and very poor.

Once a good place to live, but problems with the office and management polices are causing long time residents to find a new place when the lease will be ending, but you better do that 2 months before since if you don't the might just renew the lease for the shortest time and highest rent. I had 2 problems caused by them not following state law when they add charges to your account and trying to deny my renter insurance and force me to take theirs. Even with the waiver, I was charged for a month and the office would not help.
While the apartment was good, the long halls gets old after a while. Maintenance went downhill over the last 2 years. Trash dumpsters not emptied enough. Carports are grouped in the front of the building so if you live in the back it is a long walk to your car and you pay extra for it.
Glad to move so I could get some place that follows state laws, better maintenance, and friendlier office staff. Avoid this place until they switch management companies.

(SCAM)The review is on 6-12-2023 Based upon personal experience! I filled out the application this past Saturday and I called today(Monday) and the Agent was very rude when telling me how I just got denied based on some marks on my credit, again she was very rude and after receiving a couple of calls I was able to get my Holding deposit credited back to my account but the unprofessional customer service of the agent and the two ladies backing her actions raises some red flags ? I would not recommend no one to apply to this property because it’s just a scam to make their quotas on administrative fees and app fees $210.00.

I thought the reviews on this place needed a boost. Moved in 2 months ago, big home, clean, quiet and safe. All ready to go at move in, friendly staff, rapid maintenance. Location is great! 10-15 minutes from restaurants and shopping, 5 minutes from groceries.

I have no idea how they can say they are best managed when many long time renters are leaving including me. I was even told by those who lease ends in the summer how lucky I was. But when the office staff person is nasty and it seems they try to find ways to charge fees or don't follow state law when adding charges to your account, you know why. Even when you try to be honest, they found a way to make you regret it. Had to be a senior only building once. Very long halls, 2 elevators, and 2 trash compactors that once worked but didn't mostly the last 6 months I was there. Because of that, dumpsters overflowed every week. Maintenance got worst and I fixed the last major problem, top hedge of Walk in closet door pulling away from frame caused by too short screws myself. Don't get me started about the dust problem from lack of good maintenance and the woods behind the place being cut down.Too bad since the apartment was comfortable with a new kitchen and windows. It was mostly quiet around me but other areas were not. Save yourself headaches like trying to get your Michigan renter insurance policy approved by their website so you don't have to pay for their higher priced damage wavier from a company not licensed in Michigan or having to keep checking your online account to see if they mistakenly add fees or turned off your online payment option. (Which is needed since they only want those and will charge you for paying with a cashier's check - will not take personal checks. Glad I moved and got back most of my deposit but I made it clear I was planning on going to the BBB on them.

There is no option to give 0 star, so had to give 1 star. Try to avoid this apartments community at any cost, I stayed here for 19 months. Getting your maintenance requests fixed will take a lot(a lot in the sense a lot) of time like 2 - 3 months. Despite fixing the maintenance requests during your stay, when lease is done and when you move out literally with out any second thought you will be imposed of a lot of huge fines (like 1.5 times of your base rent). They don't even consider decreasing moving out fines. I deeply regret staying here. I will personally make sure that no one in my friends circle will lease apartments here.

Sitting in the waiting area for 15 minutes, had to walk out. This isn’t the only place. Poor service. They don’t care about ur time.

The worst management. My Air conditioner broken for last two weeks. I have raised multiple requests to fix it. They don’t even respond to the request and close the complaint. There is no one in the office almost anytime. I call them and they have the same response that we will call maintenance and see what they can do. The attitude of the management is worst. No wonder it has 2.5 ratings… it should have even less

This Apartment is a Scam. They didn’t return my reservation deposit amount. They told that the reservation deposit will be returned even if I am not able to sign the lease before moving in. New applicants who are trying to sign the lease, Please don’t do it. They will scam you. Worst apartments I have seen in my whole life.

Don’t move here. They are ridiculously slow at responding to maintenance requests. Office personnel or property manager will not follow up in a timely fashion. No compensation will be offered to you as a resident. It did not start off this way when I first moved in. However, the service has declined. Been a resident since 2018.

The front office does not care about their residents whatsoever, all they care about is THE MONEY! no matter how many times you call or email them they will not help you!

As this being my FIRST APARTMENT this isn’t a good experience! since me and my boyfriend has moved here we’ve experienced constant problems with maintenances, people inside the leasing office, with people keying my boyfriends car.

I am honestly am very disappointed in this place. Scheduled to have a tour of the studio 2 times and was told it wasn't ready 2 times..... WHY is the management telling people it is ready when it is clearly NOT READY??? The person I talked to on the phone was not nice and does not keep her words.... I was REALLY wanting to live here but now.....? I don't think so.... congrats, you lost a customer ????

When we looked for apartments with my husband’s needs, he needs an ADA apartment. A few years ago he became disabled and uses a mobility scooter to get around. So many apartment staff and managers tried to switch us to an apartment with stairs. This is after they verified they had ADA apartment available.Dawn Riecher, Regional Manager of Beztak personally checked all Beztak properties to find me us ADA apartment for us. No one else did in the entire area. Farmington Oaks Apartment is set back from Farmington road in a grove of old Oak trees. It is a place that you drive by and not see with all the trees. After move in Dawn contacted us and explained the entire kitchen was going to be upgraded. Being in a mobility scooter, we asked Dawn if she could move the renovation date a week when we were on vacation. She made it happen!Dawn Riecher has been very responsive and always happy to assist us and other residents. Other places we have rented from. Most times it takes forever for someone to respond. She let me know of the new exercise room that was built for residents. He is using it to build up my legs again. Many thans Dawn!
