From there, Kristen finalized my paperwork in her office. Wow! Thoughtful and professional is how I would describe Kristen. I had a video appointment that came about 45 minutes early while I was there and Kristen offered the empty conference room for me to take the call. I felt like I was at a friend or family member's home the whole time I was at this credit union. I left briefly to wrap up the video call and returned to complete my paperwork. I felt like Kristen was an old friend. I gave her a hug, thanked her, and she gave me 2 dog treats to give my dog, Maggie when I got home. “I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about this branch. I am one of those people that once I have something I cannot stand change. I began banking with my credit union 13 years ago and after a terrible week dealing with them, after being an almost perfect account holder the entire time I decided to listen to my friends and come in and have a meeting with Danielle.
She quickly walked me through the process she was able to answer every single question that I had, and she made me feel very confident and comfortable in making the transition to a new bank. She then passed me over to princess who was the one who set up my personal and checking account along with mine and my husband’s new business account. She was able to answer every single question that I had, She was more than kind throughout the entire process and very patient while explaining every single detail to me. All of my friends bank at this branch and I don’t think there has been any time that I have come in here that everybody is not smiling and super helpful to whoever I am coming with. “Yesterday my niece in Lawrenceville, GA called regarding her Honda SUV that had failed. She needs a waterpump, rebuilt engine and other services totaling about $2,200. I didn't want to withdraw from my 401-K. Contacted Ms. Sara at MECU by phone and email. I sent my paystub and 2023 tax return copies. In less than two hours, my request for $2,500 was approved, we docusigned, and the money was put in my account. I recommend MECU for personal loans, car loans, mortgage loans or any financial needs anyday, everyday.”

“I have been a customer for 18 years, and have experienced some decently bad customer service when going into this location. I don't want to say I was profiled, but I was definitely treated different, on a few occasions when I went in.
The only reason I didn't cancel business with this credit union is because I've gotten comfortable with them, and normally handle everything online, so I would never have to deal with the people inhouse.
Today, I received exceptional treatment. I might add, the specialists in there today are different from the people I dealt with before (Thank God). I held off going into the branch as long as I could. Upon entering, Ms. Tracy was the most pleasant lady who greeted me and was going above and beyond (without even knowing I was annoyed to be in there) to answer the questions I had an provide solutions for my issues. Then, I got to Ms Joselyn, who furthered the experience by being attentive, explaining certain processes, and walking me through what I needed. I might have walked in with the biggest frown that I had to even go into the branch, but I left with a smile on my face, feeling appreciated as a customer. They might have just kept me for another 20 years.

“If you are looking for an excellent mortgage loan officer speak to Denise Staffeld at DFCU Financial. In Plymouth, Michigan. She has helped process two mortgage applications for me. She was exceptional. In a very short amount of time she explained the procedures necessary for approval. She identified the paperwork needed to verify my current investment balances and annual income, etc. She kept me informed as to the status of my application and always promptly responded to my phone and email inquiries. Further, she continued to contact
my real estate agent to make certain there were no delays by her in expediting the
necessary paperwork. It is obvious she is very knowledgeable and competent
in the performance of her duties as a loan officer. DFCU is fortunate to have her
as an employee. I have dealt with other Financial Institutions and was disappointed
with the handling of my mortgage applications.”
