Left me on hold for over 10 minutes and never came back to let me know their brow person wasn’t in today when I was inquiring about making an appointment.

Nice and big. The store is a bit messy especially the area where the Ordinary products are and the nail polish area. Staff is helpful and they are knowledgeable about the products that they sell. They can be a bit hard to find because some wear street clothes, but nevertheless they are helpful once found. They have a broad spectrum of perfumes, hair products, nail products and of course makeup. Many of the products have samples for free for you to try prior to purchasing. They do have skin specialists available on certain days. Just drop in and ask them.

If I could leave negative stars I would. I walked into the store and not one person offered to help me as I was making a difficult decision about fragrances and skin care products. I walked the entire store on purpose to see if anyone would offer assistance, I watched the lady with the purple hair in cosmetics on purpose avoid me and sip her water as I looked as make up brushes. If y'all racist, just say that! You don't ever have to worry about me coming back to your store and corporate will hear about this. Do better; Sephora would NEVA ?

Had a wonderful experience at this store tonight! I needed make up for a wedding and required a lot of help picking products because I have little make up experience. I wish I got her name, a shorter girl with black short hair helped me find a foundation shade that worked for my skin tone and freckles. Another employee (I think her name was Dee) helped me find the other remaining items on my list. So thankful for both of their help!

I used to love this store location but will never, ever visit here again. I walked in tonight knowing the general items I needed (eye primer, green eye shadow pallet, mauve liquid lipstick, etc.), but didn't know the specific items I wanted to buy. I spent a total of 45 minutes in the store. During this time, I was followed and uncomfortably monitored by 3 different employees - most noticeably by a tall, female employee with red hair. As I approached the Morphe shelves, she stood one foot to my right; every time I moved slightly to the left, she moved with me; and every time I bent down (to look at the bottom shelves), she crouched down WITH me. I was so unbelievably uncomfortable, but too anxious to cause a confrontation - I have severe social anxiety and quite frankly, could not do anything but freeze in fear until she finally moved away.If the expectation is customers come into the store, make a beeline to specific products, check out and leave in a short period of time, then make that clear upon entrance - otherwise, there is absolutely ZERO excuse for this kind of behavior while simply browsing the store. This happened recently to my sister (an Ulta employee at another location), and just a few months prior to my aunt. I decided to visit this store tonight as I was already in the area, but tried to make sure I took extra caution in how I shopped to avoid this type of situation (which I shouldn't have needed to do) - kept my hands out of my pockets, held my products very visibly in my hands, etc. - but that didn't matter.I'm glad to take my business to the Southfield and Bloomfield locations instead, and will encourage all my family and friends in the area to do the same. I wish I could rate this store a -10/5 stars, but a 1/5 will have to do.

I stopped in to get a couple products I was running low on… mostly coverup related products. Donna noticed that I wasn’t in love with my skin and helped educate me on products to temporarily cover up my blemishes and products to help clear them up. I was so thankful for all her knowledge because I’ve felt so hopeless with my skincare. She was so genuine and wants me to report back with my skin progress in 4 weeks. Never have a been to an Ulta and had such a wonderful experience and that’s all thanks to Donna. This Ulta isn’t even the closest one to my house but I will literally go out of my way to come to this Ulta and see her! Thank you Donna!!! ♥️♥️♥️

This is as an ex employeePros:- Nice customers- Nice discount. 20-25% can't remember.- Kayla is serious, but friendly.- Nugget is very friendly. She has great management skills, maybe because she's younger. She made the management a little bearable.- 80% flexible hours.- Place is very clean.- Good product selection.Cons:- management is poor.- Having to wear cute shoes is damaging to the feet & Body if I have to stand for 3+ hours straight.- Not being able to sit down when the store isn't busy. But D could.- S____n ( manager) has attitude problems, slightly unwelcoming. Feels like you're walking on eggshells.- C_____e has an attitude problem, very unwelcoming, very standoffish.- S____n (manager) and C behave as if you're bothering them.- J____e is 50/50.- D___a is moody. Simply asked again for directions & she yelled at me. Must be menopause.- S_____h snitched on me the most, along with D. It was so petty. And then J (the manager) would never tell me what they said or who said it, so I never really knew what I did wrong or could apologize if I felt needed to. This is where the anxiety part comes in at. Felt like I was walking on eggshells constantly.- Micromanaged constantly, couldn't even talk to other employees if the store wasn't busy, but the coworkers who already have been working there could.- No chairs at cash register. Having to wear cute shoes, we should have cute chairs. That should be mandatory. Customers aren't concerned about the shoes I wear or if I'm sitting down when the store isn't busy. They care about being serviced only.- don't really have a set base pay. It should be mandatory it's $15, base pay. They let you decide your own payment, very d**** I could be getting myself underpaid and they wouldn't care.- why are companies so hellbent on you working weekends, their are others that happily can. Why should that make or break anything? They want you to be a slave for a company that will replace you within a week.- there's this one hairdresser that's just talks so much sh*t about customers as soon as they leave. She has blonde hair, it was very amazing to say the least. Like what if they heard and they had the worst day after that. That same customer did give her a $20+ tip, I wish she hadn't.Every time I mentioned something they didn't like, I was snitched on to the manager. Whether it was sin-ply saying I don't celebrate something or me simply making a joke about doing something. (It was never anything rude or serious, EVER) Made it very catty & unwelcoming, like they just had a problem with me. I was very anxious when this started happening. In this environment, be completely fake. Don't share anything about yourself even if they start the conversation first, you might say something that easily triggers their sensitivity. This place made me anxious in every way possible, with the coworkers only. Like I said, customers were amazing. So if you wanna work here, be quiet, do your work, don't try to make friends, and go home! They are very sneaky and catty.I write this to not be mean, but to warn other employees on how to behave around them. Be a fake version of yourself. So that makes it not worth it to work here. If you're naturally standoffish, you'll get along just fine. I did not mention full names because there is no need. I gave enough for an employee to recognize. My experience here was not fun, it was filled with anxiety & sometimes I felt sad and unwelcomed.

Generally when I walk in I am immediately greeted and asked if I needed any assistance. 2 weeks ago, not I or anyone behind me was greeted. There was a lady right at the front door who not only looked right at me but walked past me several times while in the store and never once asked if I needed any help. ? I will definitely start asking for names of those who show excellent customer service and those who don't. They need to understand the negative and positive effect they have on businesses.

Staff was very polite and made sure I got what I asked for. I think someone named Kayla helped me with my request. Great customer service is hard to find these days. Keep up the good work.
