I recently moved in and the staff made my life easier with the lease set up and when on the first weeks I had a maintenance issue they quickly helped me to solve it.

Their Maintenance take forever to fix a problem and when you try to call to get updates about your issue they won’t answer. Have been having an issue with water coming from apartment above me(every day) for a month and half went to the office a few times with my baby to get a solution their maintenance team finally found out what the issue is but never fixed it. It’s been 8 day since they said they will call me with a plan and never did. Still having water with insect in my bathroom every time the apartment above me takes a shower ( every single day).

Update to my prior rating: We all went through some growing pains when management changed. That's normal. Over time, things have improved greatly. The staff is open and attentive to every request that I have had. The atmosphere is smoother. Beyond still loving my apartment after seven years, I particularly like the monthly property events. I have met more of the residents, laughed a lot and genuinely appreciate the staff. I have never felt ignored nor brushed off. Maintenance requests are rapidly acted upon. The grounds keeping is well maintained. Neighbors are friendly and care about our home. I have no plans to relocate. In fact, I just renewed my lease.

My brother and I have had a pleasant experience. The apartments are relatively nice, and the people have been friendly. M'Kiyah worked with us throughout the intial process and has been nothing short of amazing. She was always available, personable, transparent, and knowledgeable. Do not rent from this place. I have lived here for two years and I’ve been a great resident. The Management company is horrible, and the women in the office are extremely rude. If you have any complaints about your apartment, you need to get access to the management senior vice president in order to get anything taken care of. The complex is very empty right now and they were offering free rent for the first month due to this. there have been several car break-ins since I’ve moved in. And a younger crowd has moved in has brought in Noise at night loud cars, drug use, and a different persona To the neighborhood. Last year management changed The access to the pool and remove the lock on the gate. Witnessed several times People driving With several people Going into our pool and spending the day there. They were smoking weed and drinking. The women were wearing g string bikinis. I have an 11-year-old daughter Who loves to swim at the pool so I brought this to management attention. Their response was that I need to mind my own business and that i better not be harassing anyone at the pool for violating rules. There were gentlemen wandering in from the woods behind our complex with open containers asking where the pool was at 10 O’clock at night. This is just one example of how management ignores our concerns. Since this management company has taken over the complex has lost several residents. I finally lost complete respect for them when my next door neighbor passed away from Brain Cancer. She was everyone’s favorite and a gem in our community. After she passed the management company harassed her family About breaking her lease and they had to spend months battling this with an attorney and Were forced to provide tons of documentation, proving that she was deceased. Our management company literally watched her doe over the several months before she finally passed. She lived here for 8 years. She beautified her porch and area around her apartment with flowers and welcomed newcomers with open arms. The Ascent of Farmington Hills should have been forever grateful for her. Maintenance used to be great and they all quit because they couldn't handle the management. Maintenance was the only thing that made it tolerable to live here and now that they are gone, it is ridiculous. Last fall there were bees swarming into several of our apartments through some issue in the building structure. My daughter is allergic and I asked for someone to come in right away and at least spray. They made me wait for an exterminator 3 days later. I had to stand by the window and kill bees. When the exterminator came, he sprayed chemicals all over my ipad and picture frames and ruined everything. I didn't even get an apology from the apartment complex. Lastly, the property management company seems to be hiring grounds maintenance companies that do not seem accurate. You have to pay 25$ a month for a trash pick up fee and it usually picks up 2 times a week if that. Watch out for all the dog poop too! No one cleans up and the management company does nothing to enforce. I am happy to say i am moving out at the end of my lease and it cannot come soon enough. Please take my advice and do not make the same mistake that I did!!

Original work order from October 2023 was finally addressed 2 weeks ago and still needs to be completed. Jordan is an excellent maintenance person but he can't do it on his own. Hire some more competent maintenance people.

I setup and appointment to view an apartment (2 bd 2 bth). I met with Mkyah and my family received a pleasant tour. Mkyah was very open about the amenities current and future. The unit she showed us wasn’t ready yet (appliances needed replacing) but the overall cleanliness and appearance was good. In the end we decided against the location because the cost of commuting was too high.
