Made an appointment, was told I could do them with Rose online as long as I uploaded my documents to MyBlock. My apoontment time came (5:30), I was waiting for a call. Never received one. So I called at 5:40, the woman at the receptionist desk mentioned that my account was running behind with her previous client. No big deal, but I asked if she would be calling me or not, and she didn’t really give an answer.
I waited, assuming that maybe my accountant needed some time to get everything together and then she was going to call me to confirm the information (I had everything extremely organized and it seemed as if it was a matter I’m typing it into the computer).
At 6:26pm I called and my accountant answered. I kindly asked her what the process was, and if there was anything that I missed, and she started answering me in a frustrated tone that I had missed my appointment and I didn’t upload the documents online.
While on the phone with her, I expressed that I was online and logged in looking right at the documents that I had uploaded prior to our scheduled meeting. I had also expressed that I was given the OK to do everything virtually online as long as all of my documents were uploaded to MyBlock.
I asked her to repeat my name back to me to make sure she had the correct spelling to be able to see my account. It was correct, but when I had suggested that, maybe it was a system glitch and I could email the documents, she got more frustrated, said her next client was already there, and that she would not even have time to get to my documents and taxes were due on Monday. I was so in shock with how rude/aggressive she was. Obviously there was some miscommunication.. which I totally understand, and was willing to work with her or even reschedule.
The bottom line is, I didn’t deserve to be treated like that. I said “thank you and I hope you have a great day” hung up the phone and called a different location.
When I call a different location, I explain the situation to them And unsurprised the receptionist said “is that the Farmington hills location”. I said yes, and she told me she wasn’t surprised, and that they get a lot of people from that location saying their rude.
It cost zero dollars to be kind to somebody…

H&R Block from Orchard Lake in West Bloomfield, MI rocks, they are fast, accurate, reliable, and are very kind to explain every detail from the taxes process, for me is very important to ensure my taxes are done correctly and every time since the last 2 years when I started to do it thru them, I really feel safe and very comfortable, that just keep my peace of mind,.....and Srinivasan Bhuvaneswari is amazing. Did I mentioned their price is quite affordable ? Yes they are. You should try them.

I feel like I was charged too much (325$+) to file tax for single income source and 1 dependent. Not happy with the returns as well.

Maria Mainero my tax advisor in Farmington Hills, MI. Was a true gem !! Extremely Pleasant, Knowledgeable and Efficient !! This was my first visit at this office, neat & clean !! Cost paid was fair and reasonable geared to my situation as a senior !! I will definitely return for next year's taxes to be done as well !!! Thank You !!!

Go to this location if you want to waste your time and not have your taxes filed until well after tax day. I cant even adequately express how dissatisfied I am, especially with the original tax advisor that was selected, Carol Dickinson. Who not only did not complete any part of my return, but waited until tax day to pass my case to someone I did not know or speak to, nor given contact information for. I did not know where my documents even were until speaking with the district office. We ended up having to travel to three different offices to complete my multi-state returns and had to mail them in myself anyway. If you chose to use HR Block Service. I recommend going to Orchard Lake Rd location and seeing Bhuvaneswari Srinivasan or Woodland Square and seeing Alan Pope, both of which were extremely helpful.
