I often drive from my North End Detroit neighborhood to my parents condo in Harrison Township and back. My Jeep is a hog on gas so it's common I have to fuel up on one of these jaunts and it's usually on the trip back which tends to be in the evening or even the dead of night. There's no gas station situated between their condo and I-94. I could go out of my way to the Speedway on Crocker and Jefferson but as I just said that's out of my way. (An outpost for petrol on the corner of Crocker and Metro Parkway would make a killing!) The most convenient gas station on my return voyage from the burbs is this BP right at 10 Mile and I-94. It's right across from the off ramp and next to the on ramp. It's no doubt difficult to cut across 10 Mile in heavy traffic but at the hours I go I can just zip right across. There's a food truck, the hilariously named Corn Hub, in the parking lot, but it's never open during the vampire hours when I stop to fuel up. The door is usually unlocked at night and if it isn't the doorbell plays Ode to Joy which really takes the edge off the minor inconvenience of a brief wait. The convenience store inside is well stocked with beverages, snacks, automotive supplies, gloves and hats, all the things a gas station store usually has. And it's been clean under the bright fluorescent late at night. I got no complaints about the graveyard shift employees here. BP is a terrible company. I still haven't forgotten about Deepwater Horizon but hey, all these big oil companies are awful and we're increasingly wrecking our climate motoring around in these metal death machines but I guess that's just the nature of the beast. This one individual outlet is one of the places where I do my share of adding to the problem.

Here several times a week in the morning. Staff is always nice and the shelves are well stocked.

Was waiting to get rung up and had to wait for the cashier to answer her cell phone and light up a cigarette before she could help me. Was literally blowing cigarette smoke over the counter while I was trying to pay for my items. Never again will I return. Very ghetto.

was in at about 3pm today(Dec 20,2022)The associate was very rude and disrespectful because I needed to re run my card because of machine saying chip malfunction. She was yelling at me in front of customers. Saying she will cut up on me. So I said that's rude and she asked if she was talking to me, I said you're talking about me. Talking to the other associate about me in front of me. Also made me get my own pipe from behind glass doors. This was the African American lady with glasses. None of them had on work uniforms. I told her I was going to make a complaint and she yelled at me saying she didn't care and to go ahead and do it. This gas station always has issues. There always having their licenses suspended for selling to minors also.

I was sold old, hard wing dings at Krispy Krunch chicken. Paid a lot for it too. I couldn't even bite into it, it was so hard and had no seasoning. I'm never wasting my money here again.

The people that currently operate 10 Mile/Hayes BP are super nice and friendly. They carry about everything you could need and want from a gas station...smoke accessories, all the snacks, and they have a fun game machine. Support this business.
