Staff was absolutely amazing. Room was a little small but creatively decorated. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Property was clearly well maintained, and surprisingly quite for being right in the heart of town.

My wife and we looking for a weekend get away for our anniversary. Great hidden gem. Right near the the college, lots of things to do. We didn't even make it to all the places we planned with just so much around. Huge selection of food near by. Room was nice but a little smaller then anticipated and we wish there was a fridge in the room other then that it was a great experience. Even though busy campus life going on all around you don't notice it in the room. Breakfast was fantastic. Will try one of the other rooms on our next pass through.

My only complaint is that they were booked and I could only stay there one night of my trip. We stayed in the Spring Meadow room and although the room layout was a little awkward and getting into the jacuzzi tub was also a little strange, the amenities and service were outstanding. I will definitely be checking them first the next time I'm in town.Walkability: Just off campus and within walking distance of everything on grand river.Food & drinks: The fresh fruit and French toast were absolutely delicious and thr company at breakfast (Yogi the dog) was adorable.

Wife and I have enjoyed stays in every room! While we have our favorites, they are all unique/enjoyable in their own way!We absolutely Love this Bed w/Breakfast! CThe rooms are amazing! The breakfast is always delicious! And then you have Yogi there to make it feel like home, while we eat.Al the owner is always friendly, and attentive! (Btw Yogi is the perfect four legged hostess friend)The location is amazing as well. As there are plenty of options for food, drinks, and activities within walking distance. You just have to look past the beer bong tables in the front yards nearly everywhere. I mean, this is college town and all... lolRooms: The rooms are amazing with in suite Jacuzzis!Nearby activities: There are ample activities all around. Food, drinks, art galleries, etc...Walkability: A variety of venues within walking distance.

A wonderful place! This perfect gem is located right in the heart of downtown East Lansing, but feels private and secluded once you enter. I can't recommend it enough. The entire place is wonderfully and thoughtfully appointed--the innkeepers have really good taste! There are interesting and beautiful things to discover in every corner, and that's before you even get to your suite (check out the cupula)! I stayed in the "Winter Eden" suite, and it was great. The spa bath room was so beautiful: Live ferns and plants surrounded the (big enough for two!) jet tub, and there were multiple skylights above. It was a great place to stay, and I can't wait to go back.Nearby activities: Saper Gallery is right across the street, and the Broad Art Museum is less than a block away (on the MSU campus). There are multiple pubs, clubs, eateries, and shops nearby. Want a really good dinner nearby? Try Beggar's Banquet!Walkability: This place is about as "downtown" as East Lansing gets. You can walk anywhere downtown easily and safely.Noteworthy details: Beautiful furniture and decor; secluded outdoor courtyard; quality personal products in the bathroom; spa robes in the closet; fresh flowers in the rooms!

I have stayed in every single room here over the past 10 years, including getting engaged here and staying on our wedding night. Al is the nicest and most hands-on owner and we look forward to our stay every time. The staff is attentive and the breakfast is always very good too! Each room has its own character & fun details so check them all out. Conveniently located downtown so you can walk to bars, restaurants & football games.

I was looking for a hotel close to the MSU campus so I could take my daughter for a tour. I found the Wild Goose Inn on Yelp and saw how quaint it looked and read the great reviews. The proximity to campus is the best you will ever get. It's next to municipal parking, which the Inn covers, and it is by the MSU Bookstore. There are quite a few popular restaurants nearby, which are all well under a mile away and easily walkable. Insomnia Cookies is very close and we enjoyed some amazing cookies. Highly recommend for those with a sweet tooth! We choose a Friday check in and a Saturday check out, with the intent of touring the campus Friday morning and Saturday afternoon. Friday and Saturday selections have a higher rate. We did not count on pouring rain and dreary weather. So what would have been a walking tour became a driving around on campus in a car tour. But we rolled with it. We also failed to consider that being on a college campus by businesses and parking lots and waking paths frequented by students on a Friday night would not be without some noise. I think if we both would have been tired we would have fallen asleep easily and not been bothered. But since we both were wide awake we did hear boisterous students screaming and shouting as they walked by intermittently until well after bars closed. So we did truly get a campus experience! I do not know if every weekend would be like that, but I imagine football weekends would be worse, but it is certainly something to consider if you are a light sleeper. High quality earplugs might be good to throw in your bag, just in case. When we arrived at check in, which is at 4pm, we found an envelope with a key and the parking voucher. Our room, called The Spring Meadow Jacuzzi & Fireplace Suite was on the first floor literally a few steps from the front door. The rooms are not large, but the layout is clever and we enjoyed the amenities so much! The room is perfect for 2 people. Next to the bed was a cozy loveseat, which pulls out into a twin sized bed. I called to get sheets so that we could each have our own bed. When we returned from dinner the bed was made with a thick memory foam pad added on top and fresh flowers added to the table. Both beds were super comfortable with crisp fresh sheets. There was a gas fireplace which we enjoyed as well. The bathroom has a long countertop with a beautiful glass sink bowl and it was a high countertop. The shower was gorgeous with a soft rock floor and a tile sculpture of a person, called a Matawi Tile, both in the shower and another one outside the shower. Very unusual and unique touch. The shower was nice with 4 shower heads and a built in seat. But the best feature and the reason we selected this particular room was for the jacuzzi. The brick grotto alcove with the jacuzzi is stunning! There are 3 lighting options. You can light the tea lights inside of the lanterns, turn on a bright light or you can turn on the stars. The ceiling has a round recessed area that is painted blue like the sky with white lights which are the stars. The jacuzzi has surprisingly powerful jets. I was expecting a jetted tub, so I was very pleasantly surprised and pleased to see a real jacuzzi! Since the jacuzzi is an alcove w no door, depending on who you are traveling with, you might consider if it is a bathtub you will use sans clothes, or a jacuzzi where you will wear a bathing suit. My daughter and I brought bathing suits. It says it is 2 person. It does fit 2 people, but people are all shapes and sizes, so it might not fit two if the people are larger. We got in like sardines and made it work. The next morning at breakfast we were greeted by the hosts, as well as a beautiful dog, who was very polite and well behaved. The hosts were wonderful with a great sense of humor. We were offered tea or coffee, a fresh fruit bowl and some muffins. We had a choice of eggs any way, an omelette, oatmeal or French Toast. We both chose the French Toast. It was delicious! The outside has a patio with pavers and a fire pit. It was too cold and too wet for us to

We have stayed at numerous b&bs in Michigan, Wild Goose tops them all! First- excellent location. Park your car (for free!) and walk to everything. Second- the room; we stayed in the upstairs Summer Safari. Beautiful room with a super comfortable queen bed, loveseat, tv and jacuzzi tub. The tub is more than generous enough for both of us. There is a cute little balcony, designed for two. The morning breakfast is heavenly and by far the best B&B breakfast in the state. This getaway was nothing less than perfect. If I could add anything, it would be a small refrigerator and coffee maker- the closet looks like a great space for this. Enjoy, we did!

Absolutely gorgeous gem hidden in East Lansing! It's not much to look at on first glance, but every room is beautiful and unique. We rented out the whole venue for a Bachelorette Party and had a wonderful time. Very clean and the owner/staff were super friendly and respectful. They also validate parking for the lot next door, which is super convenient and much appreciated :)
