I am a student at MSU, this is the most useless clinic I have ever been to. Been here twice and both times the medication I was prescribed failed to work. I went to another clinic and they had me fixed up in less than a day. They do not seem to know or care about what they are doing.

Top tips: be prepared, bring a friend to every appointment or ask for a chaperone, and asks lots of questions. My experiences have ranged from awful to awesome. It depends on who you see and what for.

I have been extremely sick for 5+ days now and need some sort of antibiotic or steroid. I tested negative for flu and Covid but yet I cannot eat or sleep and have every symptom in the book. They told me to drink water and keep taking ibuprofen. Waste of insurance just go to the urgent care.

Olin center is one of the worst health center that I've ever seen in my life. They don't care about patient and their problem. My wife had a heart burn and went down there and they told her there is nothing wrong with her. We ended up in ER two days later because they didn't care to do any blood or urine test or any other kind of patient care. I have been there couple of time and they treat pateints like trash.MSU has more than 50,000 students, but the Olin center is more like of a small village health center.

came here for an extremely bad sore throat, unlike any sickness i’ve ever had. she tested me for strep, and when that came back negative, she straight away assumed it’s mono. went to get a blood test on my own to see if it was actually mono the next day, it was NOT. this is not the first time the doctor has tried to jump to a mono diagnosis with me. she told me to alternate tylenol and ibuprofen daily and that’s it. here i am 5 days later not feeling any better and i’m about to go to an urgent care somewhere else. i have no idea what my sickness is and am worried i need actual antibiotics or steroids.

I went there three times and they barely did anything each time. Twice they just tested me for covid and sent me home. I ended up having a very severe case of mono and had to go to the ER. Afterwards, I went there for a checkup and they told me I was fine and no longer had mono when they never tested me or did anything for my pain. I actually still had mono and got very sick again. 0/10, was a complete waste of my time and money

Unbelievable experience. I had blatant strep throat with white spots all over my throat and needed antibiotics and steroids bad. I couldn’t eat nor drink for a week+. I go in and they tell me “drink plenty of water and have some Tylenol.” A few days later I’m feeling much worse and then go to an Okemos urgent care, where they rightfully prescribe me steroids and antibiotics to finally cure my strep throat. This isn’t the only time Olin hasn’t helped me either. It’s unprofessional and full of unqualified workers. Terrible, absolutely terrible.

Called to schedule an appointment and got in the next morning. It was my first time at the building and as soon as I entered a very nice woman (I think her name was Robin) at the desk gave me directions to where I was trying to go. I had an appointment with Michelle Hafner and she was very nice and easy to talk to especially since I was nervous. The CMA, Alisa, was also so sweet, made me feel comfortable, and explained everything well. I felt I received great care.

Hello! I'm a new grad student at MSU. After dealing with the unprofessional student health plan registration, I called the clinic to set up an appointment. The person who picked up was not friendly and said that my speech sounded "muffled" despite the fact that my phone signal is clear and I haven't had any issues talking on the phone recently. I also informed them of the PCP that I was randomly assigned( a common practice), and they quickly retorted that "he doesn't see anyone" despite the fact his status online shows that he is currently accepting patients. I wouldn't have had an issue about the PCP comments if they(receptionist??) didn't have a tone and language that suggested that the doctor was somehow "above" me even though I'm paying for the visit and insurance and am therefore a customer that should be prioritized. With this distasteful experience, coupled with recent reviews on google, I'm apprehensive about going to my appointment. I will update this review when I finally attend.

Dont go herePushed a covid test onto me after the physician told me she was sure I didn't have covid then they charged me $77 for said test. I could have gone down the street for the same service for free. Also told me there was nothing they could do for me but when I went to sparrow I got treated for a sinus infection.

I had an amazing experience at the Olin health center. Elizabeth Malsheske took my concerns seriously and was very helpful.

Shame on MSU for Olin's lack of funding & having their employees work in these conditions. While the staff has been great, I've had 2 shocking experiences.Firstly, the doctor saw me in an office attached to a restroom that was used and clearly hadn't been flushed.Secondly, while I was talking with the nurse, a very large cockroach came from the back of a heating duct and slowly crept along one side of the room to another. I couldn't even keep my train of thought during the apt and almost had to walk out.

I ran half a mile to the Olin Health Center from my dorm after experiencing an allergic reaction and seeking help. The lady at the reception was clearly untrained to handle situations like this and told me that no one was available to help me, even though i was clearly in distress, losing my voice, hand on my throat pleading for help. I asked her to go get someone and eventually a lady came out and told me there was nothing she could do. I’ve never had a more unprofessional experience at a health facility. She told me to go to CVS to get benadryl. Don’t claim to care about students health and wellness if you cant help them in times of clear distress!!!! Extremely disappointed with this service at MSU
