I like to shop here, it's actually where I do most of my shopping. But every time I go to this store, they always have the same poor girl doing all the hard work while all the other kids get to just relax inside and not do anything. It's honestly really sad and upsets me. I think of how that could be my child or grandchild being put through that, and it's just awful. They always make the same poor girl bring in carts. They should really switch things up. It's sad that they have the young girls go out there at night or in the cold weather while all the men or other little kids sit inside and do nothing while they watch the same person go out there 24/7. It seems like they don't have good management. And they should really fire some of those lazy workers.

This Kroger is the best in the area (all of Lansing and EL). I wish Kroger as a company would update some of the stores in the city, but this one is great! They have a cashier named Brandon that waited on me the other day and what a breath of fresh air!!! Finally someone that is customer service oriented! Thought it was a lost art! This guy was speedy, personable, knowledgeable and just an absolute joy! He needs to be a manager of customer service for the entire company! Will come here from now on (I live 15 miles away) but this and the cleanliness and stock of the store are great! The other employees are very good as well. Please Kroger, hold on to Brandon and do better in your city areas.

I've never had an issue coming to this Kroger until today. My husband and I go here often. Usually you can get out quickly if your using the self check out. Well..... we had a cart fill of groceries, got to the check out. Whenever we have used the cashier, all some want to do is talk and not do their job like they are supposed to. EX: we were getting ready to check out, my husband asked if someone was working the register, an older woman said yes. So we proceeded to put the items on the belt to be checked out, we didn't even get everything on there and that same lady who was supposed to be doing the register didn't come. She was too busy running her mouth. It seems as if some of the people here do not want to do their job they got hired to do. We do not appreciate what was done. People need to do their job like they are suppose. They also should realize that the customers are the ones that are paying them and keeping the business open. I've worked customer service most of my life. I've never made folks wait and if they had to I would apologize and mean it. Get folks that will do the job and not piddle around. Customers come first.

This Kroger recently remodeled and their produce sections has been significantly upgraded. It now has a more open layout and is easy to navigate without running into other patrons. The quality of their produce has also improved some with t he upgrade, however there are some things that I still prefer to buy from other grocers like onions and bell peppers. I also love their newly remodeled wine section. I saw new brands on the shelves during my last visit and look forward to trying some of them in the future. I still haven't found their 'managers special' area since the remodel because I'm no longer spending time perusing like I used to due to COVID. I will say, when you are able to find flowers from their floral department on manager's special, you really cannot beat the price! Keep an eye out for discounted bouquets the next time you shop here!

I know deli had a black guy with beautiful eyes named Prince and he was so professional, friendly, and steady trying to stuff ppl faces with samples. They should have made him a deli lead because he worked well with others and especially since he had so much energy and boi was he funny. I miss him. P.S. I'm that boi named Prince just being conceited. Lol. I got a lot of respect from the all star employees and this Kroger is my fave in the area.

Apply here at your own risk! I got hired the beginning of October and been having problems since. I did not get a proper hire. I did not get no type of training or watched any videos about my occupation. Every pay day there is something wrong with my check either it's short or I have no check at all. When I bring it to management attention everyone acts nonchalant about the situation and always say they're going to add it to my next check but they never do. When I work overtime I never get time n half because hours are never right. This is the most unorganized Kroger I have came across ! I wish I haven't waisted my time here for the months I have!!! This deserves zero stars .

Drive over a hour away to pick up deli meat on website states open until midnight. Then show up at 8:25pm to get board head meat and the deli lady refuses to help us and tell us she is the only one there and has the meat Machine already cleaned up. No wonder why we drive to Grand Rapids to get our service.

This is my favorite Kroger location. They have everything I need and more. Great selections of fresh, canned and frozen foods. The salesclerks are helpful and friendly. One cashier in particular talks excessively about herself and it slows down the checkout process. I don't mind if they are talking, but this person holds onto my receipt until she finished her story. When I asked the person behind the meat deli is Boar's Head deli meats have nitrites she informed me that all meats have nitrites - it's a natural additive. WRONG! I don't know if this person was misinformed or what, but I walked away after she said that and stated "That's not true". I'd rather she say she didn't know that state incorrect information.

Love their selection! They literally have everything plus the app is a great help to search ahead. I had their fresh sushi and it was pretty decent.

Nice store, but staff was extremely rude during lunchtime today. I saw there wasn't any soup at the hot soup bar. I asked, "Is there more soup?" The woman working curtly said, "Nope, soup's done for the day" like she was my mother telling me "kitchen's closed." She then walked away without giving me any alternatives. It turns out there were several containers of microwavable soup directly adjacent to the soup bar.

I'll admit that I have been shopping more at Kroger's lately than at Meijer's, mostly because the Lake Lansing Road Meijer's is so ugly inside, like a warehouse. Kroger's is quite beautiful and perfectly clean, and everyone but the checkout women are very friendly and helpful. Also, I have found the Kroger's is a lot less expensive than Meijer's. I have been saving about $50 a week going there. The butcher counter is really great with a large variety of meats and fishes. It is seldom very crowded, the aisles are nicely arranged, and the lighting is not harsh. I cannot say why the checkout women are so sullen when everyone else there is so cheerful.

I love this store. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that there's always room for expansion/improvement with any store. I love the organic section, but would like to see it expand even further. And, I am dismayed that they took away the reduced/clearance section they used to have in the back. But, overall, it has the most organic produce/selection I've seen other than at a health food store. The employees are also friendly and helpful.

This is a nice change of pace from the zoo at the neighboring Meijer. The vegetable area has been remodeled. The supplements and organic/natural section is now conveniently located near the north entrance and restrooms. We haven't had any issues with the product quality at this Kroger. We prefer this location over the Okemos location, and definitely over the Frandor location...I mean come on man...is Frandor serious? You can load coupons onto your Kroger Plus card. You will receive coupons based on your shopping habits in the mail for items you usually buy. The Kroger-brand products are solid and affordable. Check-out is usually slow, but you can always count on getting hucklebucked by Comic Book Guy's cousin at the self-checkout entrance.

What an awful store! Never again! I had finished my weekly shopping and was ready to check out, when I remembered that I wanted to buy two bagels. So I left my cart near the checkouts and walked to the bakery section in the rear. When I got back to the front of the store three minutes later, my cart was gone. I figured someone had taken my cart by mistake, which would have been hard to do, because it was filled to the top. So I started looking . . . and looking . . . and looking. I had six of my reusable grocery bags in the cart, so I wasn't about to walk away. I looked for nearly an hour without finding the cart. So I stopped by the customer service desk to report it missing. The woman there said that an employee was restocking all the items. WTF? I told her that the cart was unattended for only three minutes. She said, "How was I to know?" and turned away. No apology, nothing. That is typical of this Kroger store. There are so many better grocery stores in the area, I don't know why anyone would go here.
