Independence Village is a such a welcoming place. I instantly felt comfortable and the sign in process was quick and easy.Loved the grounds and building, and the lunch was delicious!I think my Uncle is really happy there and I am glad to see so much interaction between people.

We love that our dad has found a home at IV. He has good friends, a variety of activities and outings to choose from, and a friendly and positive environment. All the staff seem to excel in their roles, and really take a genuine interest in the residents.

Letting go of a lifelong home you've been in for 40 plus years is a big deal. Especially when it comes with also losing a spouse not long afterwards. The pace, kindness, overall peaceful atmosphere was a welcome comfort. There are many diverse activities that seem to accomodate everyone's different favorites. Impressive, always, is the live music and early evening concerts with piano and sometimes brass and wind instruments (on a small yet engaging scale to keep interest)- Playing songs that many of these folks grew up with is heartwarming to hear and see. The desserts are divine, the food is delicious! The rooms are quiet and if you want to be a hermit for awhile, you can indulge yourself that way too. They run a tight ship there, no one gets ignored, everyone is treated very well. Over time, the regular staff in various departments, become like family to us. That's wonderful! You get the sense that they really care!
