16820 Chandler Rd # 117, East Lansing“Noodles, tofu, and rangoons are great for takeout. There are a lot of Asian grocery items you wouldn’t find most places, though the stock is not consistent (one time I went and bought bamboo shoots and water chestnut, but the next time they had neither in stock). All around, a nice small business shop.”
“Everybody here has always been extremely kind, patient, and helpful. In general, this little store seems to have the unique items I look for and hires genuinely kind people.”
“I enjoy whole foods, but I had to knock a star off. I have purchased items, only to go home and realize they've been expired. Other than that friendly staff. Ok, prices.”
“This is a great Meijer for a quick shopping trip. Well stocked, clean, and friendly. You can easily find what you're looking for in the store. This location doesn't have space for everything at a full size Meijer, but what they do offer is plenty and wisely planned so you will most times find what you need for Home, Garden, and Entertainment needs. Overall a great store with a consistent and reliable pharmacy.”
“Shout out to the beautiful brown girl who stopped stocking and showed me every isle to go to, since this location is set up a bit different from others! She was bomb. Also the ice cream merchandiser!! Ben and Jerry’s is now our inside joke!”
“This Kroger is the best in the area (all of Lansing and EL). I wish Kroger as a company would update some of the stores in the city, but this one is great! They have a cashier named Brandon that waited on me the other day and what a breath of fresh air!!! Finally someone that is customer service oriented! Thought it was a lost art! This guy was speedy, personable, knowledgeable and just an absolute joy! He needs to be a manager of customer service for the entire company! Will come here from now on (I live 15 miles away) but this and the cleanliness and stock of the store are great! The other employees are very good as well. Please Kroger, hold on to Brandon and do better in your city areas.”
“I work next door to this store and it is always a pleasure, everyone there is super nice especially Jane. She is definitely a top employee there and is always one of the kindest people I’ve ever met!
I never write reviews but she deserves recognition”
“We did the Kroger pick up and the employee was very nice and helpful as we loaded things into my car. I hate sitting there why they’re loading my car so I always get out and help. Outside the store looked nice and clean! It was a great trip! We’ll be back for sure!”
“Exceptional service at the fast checkout line. I was using whatever was left on my EBT card, and the system beeped because I didn't have enough (I was prepared to use my credit card for the rest). A Kroger employee came by immediately and helped me with the error code and then put down some daily discounts that they could find. I was a bit embarrassed, because I hoped he didn't feel he had to apply the discounts because I was using EBT (for lower income individuals). I had enough to pay for the rest with my other card. But I appreciated the discounts and fast service nonetheless!”

“Independent grocery, Foods for Living, has been an integral part of our lives. With abundant product, pleasant management, some employee owners, great comforting music. We are very sad at the coming loss of this wonderful shopping experience, 20 years for our family. Their business plan may not have been able to survive the new neighbors. Foods for Living will be sorely missed.”
