East Lansing Public Library (ELPL) is a cherished community resource known for its fantastic staff and welcoming environment. Many visitors have grown up enjoying the library, appreciating its programs for kids and teens, and noting the knowledgeable and helpful assistance provided by the staff, especially with technology and printing. The library offers a clean and comfortable space, complete with cold air conditioning, numerous seating options, and computers available for public use. ELPL boasts an impressive collection of books, including popular titles for children, and provides various tools for loan, such as a circular saw and a heavy-duty ladder. The library also hosts summer activities for all ages and offers study rooms that can be reserved for group work, making it ideal for college students. Visitors praise the best internet available compared to other local libraries and cafes. The library’s beautiful exterior mural adds to its charm, while the nearby bus stop enhances accessibility. Essentially grew up going to this library, with being apart of ELPS next door. Fantastic staff, areas to read, and at least until I graduated in 2024- amazing programs for kids and teens. Hope Rheanna, Zhandra, and Gillian still work there!

The staff at ELPL are so knowledgeable and helpful, especially when I need help with a computer issue or printing. They have also helped me dealing with documents on my phone. The ELPL is the best facility in East Lansing and a wonderful use of our tax dollars!
