I started my very first quilting project almost two years ago. I’m still working on it. Hand quilting takes longer than I thought. I have bought dozens of yards from Country Stitches and I’m so lucky to live nearby it. The staff is always so kind and helpful. They’ve witnessed me carrying too much fabric and given me a cart to put everything in, they’ve chatted with me about projects, made recommendations on fabrics, and just generally been very accommodating.
Several of the fabrics I’ve bought from here are favorites in my quilt. The sheer range and quantity of everything they have is phenomenal. There’s so many options and lots of beautifully hand-dyed fabrics as well.
Shopping local and small is so so important. Even though it’s a little more expensive, it’s worth it for the level of quality and the people you’re supporting when you buy local.

If I was reviewing the sewing machine staff, the rating would be a 10-they are so helpful and attentive. I have bought several machines and accessories from them. My rating is because of the quilt shop staff. When we entered the store, there were two workers, neither greeted us. The only time the one acknowledged me is when I walked up to the counter to ask for help and she said are you ready to check out. No I need help finding something. When the owner came around, they both became super friendly with her but still no assist with me the customer. Ultimately one of the sewing machine staff helped me find what I was looking for. The picture I have attached is how my fabric was cut despite me gently asking if we were lined up for proper measurement. I have spent hours and significant money here wanting to support local. I hope this review will be taken to heart and change can be considered.

I made my grand daughter the "Got Your Back 2.1" back pack out of the Tula Pink "Besties" hamster fabric! It turned out so cute!

Everyone that works here is extremely rude. No one would help me, or even greeted me.

We drove 45 minutes to check out the store, and we loved that they had so many choices of fabric that you wouldn't find in a big box store, but after an hour of being there not 1 time did an employee say hello or even ask if we needed help finding anything. This is why we left without spending a dime. It seems that only the regular customers received attention. We also witness an employee being impatient and obnoxious because her POS system had an error and needed more attention than the women who was having her fabric cut because she wanted to go on lunch. We won't make that trip again. I'll stick to Joann fabrics instead.
