Called to get my 2 kittens in with upper respiratory infection. They wanted me to make two separate appointments at $75 each, 2 hours apart, not including medication. Totally unnecessary and a huge reason people can't afford pet care. I found another way to care for my kittens and they are doing great, in spite of not getting in.

I’m so grateful for this clinic! We have a reactive dog, and he always needed to be muzzled at the vet, even medicated. We took our dog here in an emergency, and even with a painful wound, Mary and Sam worked wonders. They have a special connection with dogs, and he we’ve never needed a muzzle since. He’s even excited when we go to the vet now. They have an urgent care, but have also been able to quickly get us in with cancellations for several issues - I’ve never trust someone else to handle our mishap prone pup, but I trust this staff!

They RF to do labs, stool or a full workup on my dog Jake, after he was exposed to sarcoptic mange, fleas, ticks, large swollen lymph nodes in his neck. We got infected the very first day this 15 week old abused puppy was in my apartment. I had to be treated for scabies, but my dog has been RF treatment for the mange he developed, which got partially treated with his one dose of Symparica Trio, prednisone&Augmentin, given by Evergreen in Okemos, who just treated his pustules and also wouldn’t treat his mange or do labs to R/O infections, especially bc this other puppy had yellow/green pustules on his mange and wasn’t vaccinated against Parvo or anything. I’m sure he had heart worms!! But neither Evergreen or Abbot cared to evaluate my dog for any of these things. They also didn’t document the crimes committed against us that brought the sick puppy into our lives!! Sickening. I just walked him up to his pcp after that, Evergreen in Lansing, MI, who just came to the door saying that they are private business and are no longer going to be seeing my dog. I tried taking him to the ED vet in Hasltett, MI, after we were poisoned in my apartment and having serious breathing probs on top of the parasites that infected us, but they also would not see him!! That’s when I decided to get him in with Abbott Road. When I orig called, the girl said they would treat him and also carry Symparica Trio, bc he didn’t have access to his monthly dose after Evergreen DC him for no reason. This med is also used off label to treat. Sarcoptic mange. When I went to Abbott, they told me they don’t carry that med and gave him Omega3s and Credelio, on top of RF to eval him for infection and treat him for mange bc they couldn’t see much when I brought him in, which is bc he was partially treated and I also give him permethrin dips&multiple treatments trying to give him care&prevent the mites from totally taking over. He also develops yellow-green d/c from his eyes, same color as pustules on other dog, while the dog was in our home, but I always clean his eyes out. I had taken pics of all the mites, flea dirt, etc, that came to the surface when I gave him a permethrin dip the day before his appointment with Abbott, as well as emailed them the story of the crimes, pics of the other dying dog, pics of my dog and his hair&skin during the exposure, as well as the fact that I caught it, but bc he looks good now, they completely disregarded the fact that he was exposed partially treated, and that I treat him! I had surrendered the other puppy to Ingham County Animal Control after having him in my home for a couple days, infecting us and our home. AC told me the dog has “an infection,” which was obvious to me, but they wouldn’t tell me what kind. Could be MRSA, Bubonic Plague, Parvo, heartworms or anything! Abbott still RF to evaluate him for any of this and just gave me a script for the Credelio. I had asked Evergreen for a script for Symparica Trio after they said, they didn’t wanna see him anymore, but they refuse to give me a script for his monthly, flea tick and heartworm medicine. I just don’t understand how these veterinarians go on with their lives doing things like this.

the worst vet i have ever been to. the staff is super unprofessional and rude. acted like they were annoyed with my puppy and in a rush to get out of the room. the one vet tech shouldn't be employed here cause she has no patience for animals, and i overheard her talking bad about me and my dog cause i wouldn't give myl a controlled substance to get his NAILS CLIPPED. i called and asked to speak to a manager a few days ago and never got one. definitely would not recommend this place at all.

Bailey was taking such good care of today. She had a horrible cut on her paw. She was so miserable. It’s so nice to see her comfortable and sleeping… thank you so much.?

I have been going here for at least 5 years. I take all my pets here because I love it so much. Everyone is so helpful and respectful.

My typical vet could not get my dog in fast enough so they suggested Abbott Road, who was able to see him that day. They treated my elder pitbull mix kindly and with respect when he was not feeling well. I don't know that the doctor was as transparent about his worsening condition as I would've liked; though she may not have been able to confidently without the proper tests. They tried to help my pup as best as they could and followed up afterwards. They offered a clean environment with nice equipment.

Caring, knowledgeable vet who helped us navigate treating our disabled cat through COVID and were compassionate during his final days. We wouldn't go anywhere else for our new kitty.

Took my cat Selena to the vet and turns out she has fleas. They dealt with it nicely but got a bit annoyed after I asked many questions as she is my first car and I have anxiety. The receptionist was nice but acted like she was in charge of me. It was very annoying m then I called a few days later, and the vet who I believe to be Dr. Mary spoke to me more aggressively when I asked questions about another issue she was having. They did not take her temperature which was very irritating. The vets even talked badly about the clinic on the border of east Lansing and okemos (Riverside animal hospital is the name I believe). Very unprofessional as I respect that clinic very much and would much rather pay more there than deal with this here.

DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOU AND YOUR PET TO BE MISTREATED!!! Went to get my dogs ears looked at for a possible infection. “Dr” Jones and the nurse come in, I described my concerns. “Dr” jones says “you need to speak to me not the nurse!” Not sure why he didn’t feel included in the conversation when the three of us are in a tiny exam room that we can barely turn around in with my 80 pound dog. Then “Dr” jones told me I would need to come back to have my dog go under anesthesia to get her ears looked at then he left. If that’s the level of care and respect you’re willing to accept for yourself and pet, please be my guest and waste your money here. Also, the fabulous “Dr” jones works at the lake Lansing location so might want to avoid there as well.

It is a small clinic which feels less intimidating and I never feel worried about the care that my cat gets at any point. All of the staff are very helpful and nice and my cat has never shown signs of fear towards anyone there. I am usually hesitant about going to new vets but my first appointment was easy. They were clear as to my cats health and any medications she would be needing. The quality of the care there is very good and the prices are reasonable.

Staff is extremely rude. Receptionist hung up in my face after yelling at me that they aren’t accepting new patients right now. I’ll gladly take my money elsewhere.

Very polite and willing to offer information about othe vets ! If they aren't able to accept new patients/animals they try to point you in the right direction of other facilities that would help us out !
