“I wasn't expecting much from this store but they had everything my friends and I needed while staying on Drummond Island for a weekend. I got some honey mustard Dot's pretzels that were great, and I'd actually never seen them anywhere else before. The cashier with purple hair who checked us out was super friendly and kind and commented on liking my purse. Love a nice customer service interaction like that. They had lots of beer options, including White Claw and Truly which didn't seem super popular at the bar and golf course, so that was nice to find. They also sell liquor and I saw some basic mixers available. Masks were NOT required as of August 2021, and we didn't get any weird looks while wearing masks inside. There are some limited produce options and other grocery staples. It's not a huge store but it's a bit bigger than I was expecting. They had a meat counter/deli and a small pharmacy/medicine section which was great as I was experiencing some pretty wild allergy symptoms. I was able to get some allergy pills and nasal spray which saved me. Overall this seems to be one of the main (only?) spots to get groceries on the island, so I will definitely be back next time I visit!”
“I never leave bad reviews, but this will be an exception. Always had exceptional service here in the past, but tonight had the most unfriendly clerk and we walked out. Won't be back if this young man stays behind the counter. Don't like being treated like a major inconvenience, just looking for some fresh or frozen pasties....Update: Stopped back in and met with the owner. MUCH BETTER experience, like we have had in past visits. He reported that he had looked at footage of our previous visit and saw our less than pleasant encounter with his employee. He has dealt with the situation. We purchased the pasties we wanted earlier and will be taking them home down state to enjoy later. As frequent visitors to the island, we appreciate the way Sam handled the situation. We will be back! Thank you Sam!”
