If you need prescriptions right away this is not the pharmacy for you. Waiting over a week for medications to be filled is unacceptable. And good luck trying to talk to anyone unless you want to stand in line for 30mins or more because they don't answer the phones. And on the rare occasions they do answer the phone they hang up on you before even saying anything. I understand that Rite Aid closing has really affected them, but why weren't they more prepared? Maybe instead of putting a Starbucks in and remodeling parts of the store they should've focused on upgrading the pharmacy. At the very least they could've had more staff and perhaps extended the hours more than they did. At this point family fare pharmacy is worse than Walgreens pharmacy and that's saying something!

This pharmacy is embarrassing. The staff is short, makes mistakes and their response is a long form of to bad! Another amusing thing was watching an employee attempt to stomp on mice outside the front door while waiting outside during the tornado warning. A real 5 star place these days. Just thinking if they were not so greedy and took every customer they could get when rite aid closed, maybe just maybe they wouldn't have 30 ppl in line upset and maybe the staff wouldn't have such poor customer service due to being overloaded. Good job, family fare went from a solid reliable pharmacy to a shitshow that everyone dreads having to deal with. KUDOS!

1. Why didn't whomever owns the Pharmacy inside Dowagiacs Family Fare recognize the opportunity to increase their patients base by 200% or more when Rite Aid was closing over a month ago?
2. Why hasn't the staff doubled in size? 3. Why is the drive-thru drawer "conveniently" broken several times a week (? DAILY ?) so handicap or those in need of life saving medication can get their prescriptions?
4. Why wasn't a second or third phone line added so patients can talk to a live person?
5. Why weren't the business hours extended to accommodate the big increase of customers?

5 days of trying to get heart medicine should be a slap on the wrist especially if it was promised but the sign was up to come inside!

I've dealt with a handful of pharmacies and after the initial rite aid closure, was forced to go to family fare as I'm handicapped. This pharmacy is by far the WORST I've ever had to deal with. Withholding medication because another script wasn't able to be filled due to low inventory, never answer the phone and the woman that I have had interactions with is legitimately rude and for no reason. I would steer far and clear of this pharmacy if you have the option to.

My script was called in by my doctor last Friday and this is Wednesday and still trying to get it filled! I have talked to them twice daily about it and each time getting a different answer. One of the pharmacist told me the antibiotics take priority in front of my medication and actually hung up on me!

As busy as family fare is these days, they still take the time to give the extra customer service that needs to be done to get a prescription filled. thank you

FamilyFare pharmacy in Dowagiac is becoming a nightmare. Due to the recent news of rite aid closing their customers have chose to now go to familyfare. I've been a customer for years. I used to be able to get my son's prescription filled the day of. Now I can't even get them to answer the phone and when I do, the staff is very frustrated and taking their frustrations out on their customer! You should take care of the customers that have been loyal to your company rather than the ones coming over just because they can't find another pharmacy now. It's going to force me to have to switch pharmacies now! I'm going on 2 days now for controlled medication my son needs and still waiting this is very sad!

On 10/9/22 We made a 2:00 pm appointment for my wife to get her Covid booster for the next day. The morning of the appointment we had to reschedule for the next day. We did this at 8:04 am so they had 6 hours notice... That night at 6:31 pm I got a phone call from a screaming woman named Claudine accusing us that we blew off the appointment. When we went to the appointment the next day she would not face me and see the paper I had proving the appointment had been changed. There was no accountability nor apology. There are a lot of good hard working people that work here and unfortunatly her behavior reflects poorly on the entire team.
