Absolutely love the staff at Samarkand Kennels! Our two chihuahuas, Buddy & Charlie, come home relaxed, happy and often seem indifferent to coming home…..which is how I know they are well cared for at Samarkand. We’ve taken them to other kennels where they’d appear stressed and overly anxious upon being picked up. So relieved we found Samarkand - highly recommend!!

Our dog Kuma is pretty anxious but he loves it here. Everyone is so friendly and they clearly care a lot about the animals in their care. We were so lucky to find such a great place so close to home!

Wonderful and friendly people. Treat my dog very well and she's always excited and ready to go back to daycare at the mere mention of the word! Dawn (the owner) is a wonderful lady and very knowledgeable. They know their stuff.

We have a rescue dog that is very anxious and had a lot of issues including aggression. We were extremely nervous about leaving him with anyone other than family. This place, so far, has been fantastic with him and he was so excited to go after just the second day. I’m so glad we found a place to take our doggy that we can feel comfortable with and trust with our fur baby. They truly are a godsend.

As always, GREAT experience. 3 dogs, 2 husky mixes and 1 boxer/shar pei. I've been taking my dogs here for over 10 years. Very responsive, take GREAT care of my dogs. I don't worry at all when I have to travel.

Best place for my dog. They were willing to work with him when everyone else wouldn't. Bo is comfortable with them, and knowing my dog is in a good place when he can't be with me meanings the world to me. Thank you Samarkand for making Bo a part of your family.

My grand dog stayed here while his parents were out of town. They took very good care of Kobe. I picked him up and he was so happy. The staff were very nice. Kobe slept for 2 days straight upon his return. It was like he'd been on an exciting vacation and needed to recover. Highly recommend this kennel

Drop off was smooth. When we picked up our dog she was very happy to see us, once we got home she went straight to sleep. Staff was friendly, they took great care of our fur baby!!
