“If you need a hard to almost impossible item or ingredient for your authentic Mexican dish, then you need to head to Algo Especial. This is a store that I have visited with my mom for those family recipes that needed that Especial ingredients and we could only find them here. Their tamales are the best in all southwest Detroit.”

“Man, this is the best Mexican food I've ever had. They give you such a big quantity for the price they give, AND its higher quality than majority of other mexican resturants. I live in metrodetroit, and those places would charge me 17 or 18 dollars with the amount of food they give me compared to them charging 10-13 dollars here. Highly recommend of the beef tongue burrito”
“This place has changed it has no smell, it's clean meat prices are ok but the price of eggs is ridiculous 7 or higher for a dozen eggs is ridiculous when Sams club has 24 for 5.28. Overall I will continue to shop there.”

“I ordered a pizza over the phone for pickup they didn't put the order in. When I got there he hooked me up for the inconvenience with an extra large for the same price and I was not disappointed. The cheese and toppings were evenly on the pizza it was delicious”
“I visited Grand Price Foodland on March 12th during the time when the government had a problem with everyone using their EBT Card which caused a decline while checking out. After the EBT system was restored, I noticed the same amount that was declined came off my card. When I called the store I spoke to Robert & Mario to rectify the situation. I like to give Kudo's to the both of them for showing empathy & resolving my issue in a quick timely fashion. Although the rating only has a 5 star review online, They deserve 10 stars.

“Just a small neighborhood store that stocks basic items.One plus is that they had paper goods available when the larger chains were completely out.One minus is the lack of pharmacutical items like sleep aids, vitamins or cold medicines.”
“The owner or managers are not people friendly towards thier customers, as one of the only grocery stores in the area, they are decent with meat products and selection of other goods, staff if great”
“Love the improvement's, cashier's are very friendly, recycling doesn't accept Faygo bottles or energy drinks, do not recycle glass. Recycling after 11am, not after 5pm.”

“Amazing store, always clean and their prices are cheap especially compared to the other places around. Food Farm is the only store I will shop at. They truly care about their customers. They also have an outstanding meat department. They did not have the coffee that I wanted and one of the kind workers ordered it for me, something no other store in the area would do.”

“It's a smidge smaller with a bit less food variety than the other Meijers in the area, but it's perfectly good and still has more variety (and better prices) than smaller local grocery stores.
They need to reopen the fitting rooms. If I wanted to buy clothes without trying them on, I'd shop online. The employee who was working near the former fitting rooms looked shocked when I handed her the items I wanted to try on saying I didn't want to buy without trying on first. The sign says it's because of covid but come on, nobody has restrictions anymore. Just pay well enough that you can have the staff to run the rooms.”
“It's clean and well kept the some of the groceries are a little expensive sometimes you have to check for the expiration date on produce in dairy and other stuff in the store”
“Went for Starbucks and grabbed a few items from the market. The market was very clean and everyone I asked for help, greeted me before I asked. Very nice and clean and Starbucks always awesome.”
“Excellent grocery store with a variety of goods. Prices are pretty generally as low as you can find in the area. Great for students living nearby or anyone needing a quick place to get what you need.
The can return machines seem to have been down for a while though.”
“The entry doors have motion detector for easy assisted entrance. The aisles are spacious with a sufficient variety of products and produce. There are plenty check out lanes with attendants. The merchandise are displayed organized presentable without any apparent damage or disorder. Quite impressive grocery store they operate.”
“One of the few decent and affordable grocery stores in the Detroit area. Area itself outside may seem a bit dirty, but inside the store they keep things clean and have very good items at discounts. Definitely better than spending $15.99 at the Whole Foods for the same quality item here for $5.”
