Really great service have been shopping here for a few years now the only downside is is obviously they have a meat counter in the back of the store so it may yet smell like dead meat, but who cares for the prices I can overlook it

I went here today because I am having a 4th of july barbeque. I paid $70 for 12 baby back ribs. (total of 6. 2 in each pack) Can't beat that with a stick. Everyone was really nice and I even got some wing dings that just happened to be on sale while I was in the store. I actually spent a total of $200 on meat and my freezer is packed. So glad I went here instead of Sam's club. It is not close to me but it is worth the trip with food prices being as high as they are. (They even have those old school butter cookies that used to cost a penny back in the day.) Love those things but they are so hard to find.

I have been going to the store for at least 40 years. What I like most about it is I like going to a butcher type Market. My family all shop at thisstore, Including my grown children. I go once a month now because I live in Oak Park. So, I'm not quite as close as I used to be. The customer service is absolutely top of the line and you cannot beat the deals they have at this store. I knew the father (owner) before he passed and the three sons who have always treat me very good. The only thing I can complain about is sometimes it could be a little tight in there. I wish they could expand.

They sold me some outdated food and the floors are ALWAYS filthy. I don’t mind the smell because it’s dead animals. But to be an establishment that sell food and your store is never clean or sanitized is nasty. It shows you don’t care. I bet if the health department went in there they would have fines and possibly be shut down until they get up to code. I use to really love this store but they have really fallen off. I go to Tel Joy meat market or six mile mini mart and their stores are always clean

Yes it may have a smell some days but I don't mind! I was raised at this store and been in and out of here since I was 3 years old! When I'm not near the meat market on 6 mile I'm in superland at least twice a day or every other day as I live a block away! They have awesome deals! Come check them out please!

A locally-owned supermarket that has a loyal base of customers in northwest Detroit.A few years ago a regional grocer was planning a new, large-format store about three kilometers north of Superland and I asked one of the Superland owners whether the new competition worried her at all. "No," she said. "We have been here thirty-some years. Our customers know us and we know our customers."

My coworker told me about the good deals on meat, particularly steaks. She gave me a flyer and I went today. I have been to meat markets before that actually had a smell of raw meat. Superland had zero smell and was really clean. Everyone there was so pleasant and helpful. I purchased the $189 meat bundle and I can't believe how fast the young lady had it done. I WILL be going back.

The store is not handicap accessible for those that uses a wheelchair or electric scooter. This is important for those that live in the area.

I was sold bad meat on 9/5, the day before Labor day! When I opened the bag of turkey necks that I got from the back deli depart. it had the whole kitchen smelling. Why didn't they notice the smell before selling it to me?! Be careful with these type of neighborhood stores. Food prices are too high to be throwing out food.
